Linking to the same sites from more than one of my sites, is this bad?
-
If I work for a company that has more than one website within the same industry and we have separate websites within that industry. An example would be:
CarLoans.com HomeLoans.com & PersonalLoans.com
The only difference from this example is that we are a B2B Company.
My question is: is it bad to acquire links from the same external websites for multiple websites that we own and want to rank for?
If I establish a relationship with Forbes or some other website and I can get links to several of our sites, will it ever be bad to link to all of our websites from this one website. I am asking not just for high domain authority website like Forbes, but also for websites that may have a DA in the 30's 40's and 50's as well.
Thank you

The above advice is good, but also check the hosting situation for each of your sites. Anything but Class A hosting will leave a footprint which can be traced back to each of your sites - this is why PBN's are really getting crunched now.
It probably won't hurt you if you do it a couple times for each of your websites from a single source. After all, that is pretty common. However, if you are planning on repeating this strategy from multiple link sources for all 3 of your sites, this is a very noticeable PBN linking strategy and has been under fire for the last couple of years.
The only way to avoid this is to ensure your sites are hosted on separate servers (Class A hosting). This will eliminate most issues related to "paid" links, PBN's and the like. It isn't a guaranteed fix, but it's your best bet if you haven't taken other precautions and plan on using this kind of strategy on a large scale.
After that it's just a matter of making sure your websites are relevant to the pages linking to you, and your content is worth reading. Follow the above suggestions (no over-optimization, etc.) and you should be fine.

I do not want to link to all of our sites from every domain I make a relationship with. I am wondering if I guest post on one website every 2 months for 6 months (3 links from one site pointed towards 3 of my sites) will it look unnatural? Will it look unnatural if I do this on 5 websites while I also acquire other natural links that are specific to each individual site. I do everything I can not to over-optimize it.
-
Assuming there's a logical business reason to link them I would do it but I would take the following precautions:
1. Don't over optimize the anchor text. Use branded anchor text or something like that.
2. Make sure each property has a distinctly different link profile. In other words getting a Forbes link to each of the properties doesn't make much sense and it definitely doesn't signal natural link acquisition to Google.
3. Monitor the rankings and GWT metrics for the properties for the first few months after linking them and see if you see any noticeable decline in traffic or rankings. If so, I would take the links down.

Guess not, as long as the links do not have over-optimized anchor text and do not come from sites with high spam score. Also of course as long ad they´re not paid links.

Whats the best way to get credit links from sites i've built?
Hello! I've build 100's of sites. They mostly have site wide footer links pointing back to me. I know this is now frowned on. But does anyone have a good solution to get maximum value back from these? A few have a footer link to a credit page that then links back. I get quite a lot of work back from them. So I don't really fancy removing them. Many thanks in advance.

Link juice - What could be the reason for our bad internal page Page Authority
So OK we have a domain authority currently of 41, we are well established but unfortunately we don't have any pages with PA. I have a fair idea of why this is the case but want to get some other opinions before I form my strategy. 1.It appears our internal link structure is not great and is not very organised 2. It appears we have 58 links going externally on some pages. Some of these external links are social media icons in the footer which are followed. Is there any other factors I should be aware of when building PA on some of my inner pages. Any Thoughts would be appreciated.

Getting a sitewide links from one domain as oppsed to few links from certain pages, a good, bad or horrible idea?
Hello, I have a website that is performing really well in Google for country specific Real Estate Website. I have had this site for just about 2 years and I have 4600+ indexed pages, and about 50 of my main keywords appear in top 10 results on Google. I have now started a second site with a brand new domain, its only about 2 months old. This one is a Travel website and again its country specific (same country that real estate website is performing well in) and since its still building up the content and has barely a couple of backlinks, I am thinking of adding a linkback to it from my Real Estate Site. Is it a good idea to add a site wide link back from header section of the real estate website to my travel website? Both sites has same country and most of the keywords in both relate to this country. Or will I be better off adding a few text links from few pages with best Page Authority? Or - do you suggest that I do not link the two at all? Both sites are hosted on different servers, with different IP's and one is on windows server created in asp.net while another is a magento site. Any advidce / insight will be much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Networking sites / paid links
A national networking company charges its members, say, a few of hundred pounds to become part of their network, which involves offline networking events and online in forums and a directory. All the links of the directory and forum sigs etc are all do-follow. While it's not just a directory, how beneficial a link is this likely to be? The site itself has a DA of 60 and a PR rank of 4. 1k likes on their cnnected FB page and 21 likes on the G+. At the networking meetings they tell new recruits that being a member gives them a very valuable backlink and everytime they participate in the forums they get another do follow backlink. Ive checked and they are dofollow. Is this likely to be a great value link?

Any value in link building to local pages on my site?
If I'm trying to rank for the term 'wedding band' with my url: http://www.musicliveuk.com/home/wedding-bands will linking to local pages such as: http://www.musicliveuk.com/live-acts/hire-wedding-bands/wedding-bands-london help the main page to rank? I added the 'local' pages to try and pick up any traffic from long tail search queries but my main focus is on getting the main page to rank as the traffic from long tail queries is so small. So is it worth me spending time building links to these local pages in order to try and help the main page rank?

Over 47.000 inbound links from one site - can it hurt my rankings?
Im currently having some banner commercials on a relatively large Danish forum. I talked the forum owner into maing the banner "dofollow" so i could get the "juice" from the site, however im in doubt if this is good or bad for my SEO. Webmaster tools is telling me that i now have over 47.000 links from this forum. it seems like a Lot of links considering that i only have external links from about 5 other sites and the fact that my site is quite new. It seems like my site is not ranked very good yet(as mentioned in another question). I hope someone has some input 🙂 Best reguards

RSS links vs. contextual links
Which has more value? Passes more "link juice"? Auto generated rss links or contextual links?
