Ranking

Our new website has been live since April - it's an old domain but we've had a new website built on Magento 2, however, it's not ranking for most of our main keywords. Can anyone offer any advice?
-
Suggestions:
Check Webmaster tools and make sure all pages are indexing correctly.
Also, watch out for "no follow" tags in the meta data of each page.
"><me< span="">ta id="MetaGenerator" name="GENERATOR" content="example keyword "></me<>
and of course, utilize MOZ SEO tools for ranking reports and optimization errors.

Hello there,
A domain that has been used before and dropped doesn't necessarily provide any advantage on ranking. There are even people saying that domain that is dropped for more than a few months will be "reset" by Google.
Furthermore, the links profile from an expired domain, the relevancy of those backlinked websites to your business should be highly related to providing real value.
Upon checking the domain has been on 301 for a whole year to rayflexgroup.co.uk from 2016. The backlinks profile of the domain is not strong either, most of the links are directories and looks like it's from the same provider (centralindex.com?).
Suggestions: Try to acquire more quality backlinks from relevant authority sites, learn where your competitors acquire backlinks and try to snatch quality ones, give more time to see improvements in ranking (2 months is still very new, Moz took 9 months to get out of "sandbox").

Hi
It's a huge question to come on and ask - 'what is wrong with my site'. Usually, people ask one or two things, however since you have provided the URL:
You do rank for some keywords - SEMrush suggests 10 but I have found Black PVC strip rolls at position 11, Blue PVC strip Rolls at 5, so you are definitely ranking and Google is showing 153 pages in its index.
You do have a lot of duplicate page titles which won't be doing you any good (90) and descriptions (90) and even if the titles are not identical they are similar e.g. many pages have ' PVC Strip Curtains' in the Meta title.
Whilst we can all advise on bits on here I would suggest engaging with an SEO expert to carry out a full SEO audit because whoever built the site didn't pay much attention to SEO.
Regards Nigel

According to the Ahrefs data your website is ranking for 18 keywords at UK https://prnt.sc/k7hieh
But yes, this is not a lot. You should be active in link building and work on your on-site optimization (it's not one time work, analyze SERP to identify what type of content serves searchers intent the best and improve your website UX).

Drop in rankings after AMP implementation because of lack of facebook comments
Hi, we are amplifying our site, but one of the things we can´t include on our AMP version is the Facebook comment box. Some of our articles have hundreds of comments on them and we noticed that Google was crawling those comments and using them as a ranking signal (the more comments the better we discovered). Now we are wondering if these articles would drop if we launch the AMP version without the comment box. As this would reduce the written content on those pages a lot. Anybody tested this before or has an idea on that would work out? Thanks for your help!

Website Redesign and Migration to Squarespace killed my Ranking
My old website was dated, ugly, impossible to update and a mess between hard-coded pages and WP, but we were ranking #1 in the organic searches for our key words. I just redesigned my website using Squarespace. I kept most of the same text on the pages (for key words) and kept the same Meta-Tags and Title Tags for each page as much as possible. Once I was satisfied that I had done as much on-page optimization as I could, I changed the IP in our Domain Name Registry so that it would point to our new website on the Squarespace host. And our new website was live! ...Then I watched in dismay as our ranking fell into oblivion. I think this might have something to do with not doing any 301 redirects from the old website and losing all of my link juice. Is this the case? And, if so, how do I fix it? Our website url is www.kanataskinclinic.ca Thanks

Lost Rankings Late April Even Though We Have A Mobile Site
I have noticed a significant drop in rankings since late April. It is about a 30% drop in organic from Google. This is despite the fact that we launched a mobile site before the update. What gives? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Correlation of PageSpeed Insights and YSLow scores to high rankings in SERPs
I'm pretty well rounded when it comes to SEO, but I'm just frazzled when it comes to YSlow and PageSpeed Insights. Of course, individual factors are important to site performance, but it has become increasingly difficult to recommend open-source and hosted platforms that don't pass muster on many of the performance standards being tested. For example, entity tags, expires headers, and cookie-free domains are nearly impossible to set with hosted platforms, and none of the major open-source CMS like WordPress, Joomla, Magento, Odoo, etc., consistently put javascript at the bottom or make "fewer" HTTP requests. Mobile is now king, so quite a few people (including myself) need to "mobilize" their website by late April or risk dropping in mobile search rankings. Nearly all my clients run multi-lingual e-commerce websites, so that really limits options but makes it that much more important to keep current with Google's SEO recommendations. What platforms perform best taking into account any correlation with YSlow scores/PageSpeed Insights to high floating sites on SERPs? Would one spend the money to "fix" their current platform that has worked very well to date or switch to a mobile-ready platform?

Is Fall In Keyword Ranking After Launch of Revamped Website Normal
After launching my redesigned website (www.nyc-officespace-leader.com) Google ranking has dropped significantly for competitive keywords. The previous version of the site and the new version both have approximately 450 pages. My website developer was careful to implement 301 redirects. Monitoring Google Webmaster tools it shows that Google has picked up a quantity of duplicate content. More than 950 pages or shown in their index while my site only has 450 pages. There are also certain pages which require canonical which tags my developer is in the process of implementing. The relaunch was July 10. My developer is of the opinion that this fluctuation in ranking is normal and that it will take Google about one month to reindex the new site and remove the old pages from the directory. Is this accurate? Anyone have any ideas on why my site has tanked in Google's search results? Thank you very much. Sincerely,

Does a loading homepage animation effect rankings?
Our website ( panphoenix dot com) has a Javascript animation when you load it for the first time which takes just over 2 seconds to load. Does having this animation effect rankings negatively? Would appreciate your thoughts! Thanks Rob

Usual time to index and rank a new site
Hi Just wondering if anyone knew how long it usually takes for a brand new site to get indexed and ranked? I launched a new site about 5 weeks ago. So far I have had 96,000 pages indexed but the majority haven't ranked particularly well or appeared. The ones that have ranked aren't ranking high even though they have better content than competitors sites... And my old domain. Do I just need to hang tight and wait till my domain authority improves? Is there anything I can do to speed up this process? cheers
