-

I want to know about keyword difficulty and what i understood after seeing this result
-
Can anyone tell that if my difficulty 19 against my keyword then how many backlinks required to achieve #1 rank?
-
can u give give me the limit criteria of "keyword difficulty". . .like is keyword difficulty of lie between "0 - 100" or "1 to 100" or "1 to 1000", etc.
-
Keyword difficulty identifies how difficult it would be to rank well for a particular keyword. and the value is higher for more popular words because it will be more difficult to compete with 1,000s of other sites for a popular word than with 10s of others for the less popular ones.

Hi sirana, Keyword Difficulty is a calculation done by the SEOMoz research tool that takes into account a number of things including: competition (how many pages are currently ranking for that particular term), how many people are bidding on the term in paid search, how expensive are the clicks and how many people are actually searching for the term online.
I'm not quite sure mathematically how SEOMoz puts all these things together, but it calculates a percentage score that gives you an indication of how hard it's going to be to rank highly for any given term. Obviously, the ideal scenario would be to find keywords with a lot of searches, but low competition. In that case, it would be much easier to compete and rise to the top. The worst scenario is if you have keywords with very few searches being done for those terms, but with a lot of competition.
In SEOMoz, the higher the percentage for Keyword Difficulty, the harder it could be to rank well for that term. The lower the percentage, the easier it might be to rank for that term. That being said, depending on the quality of your site and your content, it could be that you rank really well for a highly competitive, difficult keyword, but maybe not so well for a keyword that SEOMoz identified as easier.
I hope this helps!
Dana

Why am I ranking high for a keyword that is nowhere on my page?
There is a specific keyword phrase that I am ranking in the top 10 search results for. When I run page optimizer in Moz, my page is given a score of 73 and I'm predictably told I need to include this keyword somewhere on the page. This specific keyword phrase is not included anywhere on the page - not in image files, image alts, anchor text from inbound links (that I can find), text content, meta-titles or descriptions - it's nowhere. Meanwhile, a keyword phrase which Moz' page optimizer tells us we are scored 96 for we aren't even in the first three pages of search results for. What's going on here? On the surface, this seems to be telling me the Moz page optimizer is kinda...broken? Why am I ranking in the top 10 for a keyword phrase nowhere on my page? Thanks in advance for any help.

Keyword rankings and main company tagline not matching
I have a question about keywords rankings and on page keywords. I don't rank very well for the keyword "Nutcracker". But, my tag line is "Your one stop Nutcracker and Ballet Gifts source". One of my most important keywords is "Nutcrackers" (see the s 😉 ) and I hot hit really hard in my rankings with the google algorithm update. Almost a 30 position difference from one day to the next. Am I shooting myself in the foot by having Nutcracker being in the forefront, even though my chances of ranking for that are very low as there is high competition with more actual "The Nutcracker" related content. I do have the word "nutcrackers" on my home page...but all of a sudden I feel like i'm wasting space, or I should have made the tagline "Your one stop Nutcrackers and Ballet Gifts source". It just doesn't sound as good. I just recently dove headfirst into SEO and moz, so I consider myself a noob, but I learn quite quickly. Thank you for your help! Keyword Troubles!
I have a network security company http://NBGnetworks.com I've searched high and low on google adwords and with ubersuggest but I can't seem to find any keywords that have traffic and aren't medium or harder. In-fact I've found hundreds of keywords that have no searches at all and are still listed as medium by MOZ. Can any fellow MOZers help me?! Thanks, -Nick

Tracking 1000 Keywords / 5 Competitiors
What's the best way to track 1000 keywords for a website along with monitoring how the competition ranks for the same set of keywords. We love the SEOMoz Tools but would love to see what else is out there using which I can pull weekly reports maybe of our rankings along with those of the competition.

Do keywords in drop-down menus count?
In running one of my campaigns in SEOMoz Pro, it was recommended that I reduce the amount of times a keyword is used to 15. On the actual page, there are fewer than 15, but when you include the number of times it is used in drop-downs from the nav bar, the number is 53. I know there is really no hard and fast rule about how many instances of a keyword make for keyword stuffing and the drop-downs only use the term where needed. Without it's use, it would be difficult to navigate the site. Is this a problem or should I focus on more important fixes?
