"Not enough data for selected time period" - Google My Business Insights
-
Hello All,
Has anyone come across the following message "Not enough data for selected time period" when they choose a time frame in Google My Business (GMB) for one week. It seems to be consistent with "Customer Actions" and "Where Customers View Your Business on Google sections.
I'm confused because I am pulling in a minimum of 500 searches a week according to the "How customers search for your business" section. I can scroll over top of each day in these areas and manually write down the results, but what's the point of offering a 'one week" insight if it won't calculate for you.
If anyone has had the same issue or knows what's going on, please let me know. Thanks!

You bet, Matt!

Thanks so much for sharing this Miriam! It's good to know something is happening seemingly across the board, even if there is no solution.
Appreciate the response!

Hey Matt!
Some good news and bad news. There is definitely a glitch going on. So, you're not alone in what you're seeing, which is the good news. Here is Joy Hawkins' forum chatting about this:
https://www.localsearchforum.com/threads/gmb-insights-reporting-bug.54225/
The bad news is, nobody knows quite what's going on with this, but definitely read the thread.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Miriam. I read this article the other day before I posted in here actually
Unfortunately, this seems to be quite consistent. I've seen results like these for months on some of my accounts.

Hey Matt,
I've seen this crop up here and there: https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Basics-for-Business-Owners/quot-Not-enough-data-quot-in-Insights/td-p/1525698
It could be a glitch. Would you mind checking again in a week and letting me know if it resolves? Thanks!

Pandora in Google Analytics
Hi Mozers, in Google Analytics our ads are registering a 10 second page duration and a 90% bounce rate, which is pretty atrocious. My questions are: Organic page duration is 3:15 minutes, and Social + Referral are similar. Yet Pandora is bringing the average time on site way down, to less than a minute. Will those paid ad metrics be factored to the User Behavior and therefore negative affect our overall rankings? In other words does Google now see our page duration as less than a minute? The Pandora rep says that Google Analytics and Pandora have "systemic issues" such that GA is very inaccurate with Pandora metrics. I find that difficult to believe. Any insights here? Thanks all! Jane

Time For New Website To Rank?
We've been working on a site for the past couple months and going to be launching in a couple weeks. How long does it take for Google to establish a "stabilized" ranking for the site and various pages? The main homepage will have its targeted keywords and each product page will have its own targeted keywords. We have about 100 total pages for the site. I know rankings may fluctuate initially but trying to get an idea of when the rankings are stabilized before we start working on the ongoing SEO like earning backlinks, changing on-page optimization, etc to be able to track changes in rankings over time.

Exact Match in Google Search (Not Adwords)
I was going throught the list of keywords that have sent traffic to my site over the last 7 years and cam across one "A516 grade 70" that had hundreds of variants. Now in a lot of cases search volumes were different as were SERPS. We've tested a few variants with reworked pages (70% similar to original but optimised for variant keyword) and see good SERPS and traffic results. Theres obviously some diminishing returns here for us but the interesting question is when to these variants become an exact match and when not? In some cases the variants are unique because of the spacig, periods and hyphens used. there isn't a clear correlation with exact matc though. Insight appreciated. (Sorry for spelling errors. Form doesn't play nicely with iPad)

Time to get reconsideratio n request?
Hi there, recently I have been getting failed reconsideration requests back within 7 days. The last one i submitted (third) is now 2 weeks and no message back. Does this mean do you think it's gone to the next stage of auditing? is it a good sign? Typically when failed I have always has that response within 7 days. I also noticed a slight improvement in rankings but no message back in webmaster tools. Does anyone have experience with this? if so does this sound about right? thanks guys.

Before i would just tick a box and Boomshanka the code would change. Whats got me worried the tracking codes has not modified to ecoomerce is because it looks like this: Heres the tracking dashboard with no sign of ecomm tracking customisations:

Google Analytics Myth?
Dear Moz-members, I have read several discussions regarding not to implement Google analytics on your website. Reason: Google is tracking your website behavior, for example you have a high bounce rate it will affect your rankings negative. See it as we are opening the doors too much to Google so it can have a negative impact on your online business, especially when your site is new and you are still building your credit. Because of this i have not chosen to install GA. What is your experience with this? Most of the time if i read analytics posts at Seomoz, people do have GA installed. I am also in doubt whether to switch over at GA, but then again mine site is relative new and i am still working on the negative bounce rate/daily visitors. Would like to hear from you pro's whether this is a myth or not 🙂 Thanks!

Google Analytics Queries
Hi we used a web company who put our analytics under their company name we have left them and set up a new tracking code not associated with them, but we still have access to the data and it is all contained under the same login, is it possible to merge the two tracking codes? so that we have seemless history. Also does anyone know if you can change the primary e-mail address (gmail account) to a corporate email account? Any help would be appreciated as we have researched both and from what we have found we can't merge the data and also we are stuck with the primary email address.

How Google handles keywords and punctuation?
How does Google handle punctuation of keywords within its search? If I have three keywords together, but on the site there is a question mark between them, does Google ignore the question mark? Or should I think of a new way of writing the content so Google likes it more? And would this apply with articles (a, the, etc) and prepositions such as (in, of, etc.)? Thanks a lot.
