Building a Backlink Profile for a Brand New Domain

Hi there,
Any advice on how best to build a backlink profile for a new website - I'm very keen to avoid penalisations or throttling from Google.
Any advice on DA ratios to procure & frequency of procurement would be welcome.

Social... use your brand name, make sure it gets in the URL and then when possible link 6-10 of those links inside each social account.
If you're local add your citation (NAP) inside the description
Then do your local citations, then you can work with PBNs and Guest Posts later on.

It's not uncommon to take more aggressive and less "natural" link building tactics for a site that is relying on self-funding or needs early growth. I've seen sites start out with unnatural links then safely transition to a "natural" link profile with high value links from key publications later to develop stability. This approach can work to drive short-term success with avoiding the potential long-term issues.

Don't worry too much about DA of the site's you're getting links from. A natural link profile is a mixture of volume and quality. A natural link profile for a new site should include directories, forum links, guest posts, social links. Although these types of links are not important for an established site, it's important for a new site. But online PR on hyper contextual content is the most important factor, even if the site has a low DA but it highly contextual, you should go after those links. Focus on contextual online PR.

First of all, I want to second the response from EGOL, don't do anything that you will regret later as at some point it'll likely hurt you more than it'll help you.
As a first tactic, I would start finding places that have unlinked mentions of your company that you can ask to be updated, or reach out to vendors, customers etc. to see if they're willing to refer back to your site via case studies etc. In a lot of cases, this will help you build the first couple dozen links and can help drive promotional efforts going forward.

This suggests that you are going after manipulative links.
The best way to gain links is to "earning" them with high quality content rather than building them.

Subdomain with higher domain authority vs. ccTLD with lower domain authority
Our website is active in many countries and we are considering if it is worth it to switch from ccTLD to subdomains.The reason is that our company.com domain has a domain authority of 65 and some of the ccTLD's like company.fr and company.de etc have a domain authority of 30. From what I have read, moving these to a subdomain structure like fr.company.com and de.company.com will give them all the same domain authority (of 65 vs 30) which is considerably higher. 1. Would a subdomain with domain authority 65 rank better than a ccTLD with authority 30 (considering all else is the same)? 2. When we 301 redirect all ccTLD's to the subdomains, will our domain authority increase (to more than 65) for company.com, given that it can benefit from all redirected links to our ccTLD's? Payday loan backlinks
Dear Friends, I just checked my backlinks in Ahrefs because my traffic has been dropping since the last 4 weeks. I have 2 questions is google penguin a part of Google core algorithm yet like Google panda is? I have backlinks of Payday loans which many webmasters claimed were the problem. The anchor text was payday loans. The sites hardly have any pagerank or anything. What is the way forward for me? So i contact the webmasters, and they dont reply then disavow the links or disavow them directly knowing that google hates pay day loans backlinks

Backlinks and Domain Authority
Hi there, I have a question on backlinks. I have seen conflicting stories about it, and hoping someone with a vast amount of experience will be able to help me (If you could please be so kind). Now I understand the difference between 'no-follow' links and 'follow' links. I have accumulated quite a few 'no-follow' links through things like Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc. I understand that they won't feed my site authority or trust; or anything of that sort (I do work on content too, and have gotten a few follow links, don't worry). Now I have seen conflicting answers to the actual importance of them. Some things I have read are saying that SEs completely ignore them (NFL), and they don't even consider them a 'link', but rather a user tool to further the experience of the reader on your site. Which is fair enough, but then people are turning around and also saying that Google relies heavily on them, and they only make up 5% of the internet or something. I have even read something saying they are the only ones worth getting (I know that is bs, but they must have a reason behind this thought?). If someone could enlighten me as to a 'ideal' ratio, and also any little known authoritative sites I could look at submitting content to. I am in the plumbing business, and doing my own sites, so I'm no expert. Also, what are the importance of comment links? I don't go for them, but don't know if I should? Backlinks outside my country
Hi there! If the product, service or resouce I offer is located in my country: Is it worth to include directories located in p.e EEUU in order to increase my Pagerank although this is not my potencial client (due to the "distance" obviouly).? If my potencial clients were people fromo other countries that could come to mine to enjoy this service? Should I include my links in directories of these countries and obtain links from websites of these countries? many thanks

Outsource Link Building?
Currently we are in the process of creating a new ecommerce website. The site is not live yet, but we have done all of the planning and brainstorming and now are just doing all of the dirty work to get things ready to go live. We are devoting a lot of time on merchandising and developing the site, but currently do not have the resources to put together a good link building campaign in house. Does anyone have any recommendations for outsourcing the link building? The last thing we want is to hire someone that submits to bad neighborhoods and only directories. Is there a good, better, best scenario we should be looking at for pricing, ect? Obviously, like most who are starting a new site, cost is an issue at least until the site gives some sort of sign of life. Also, we are in the Pittsburgh area. We don't need to go local with this, but if there is someone particularly good in the area it would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Link Building for a New Blog
We are setting up a new blog and I was wondering what is the best way to build good quality links for a new website? I have been researching this quite a bit on the forums and a lot of people talk about writing good content which I agree with however no one will find that content if we are not ranking in Google for our keywords. From what I have read the following is what I should be doing Directory's Creating Link-bait (Info-graphics) PR Releases or Getting News Sites to link to us I have heard a lot of mention of using Articles sites like ezinearticles but I have also read that Post Panda that they dont have as much link juice as they once had and also I don't think that for a Blog that we should be using it as well but maybe I am wrong? Would appreciate some peoples suggestions
