URL or sitemap submit to search engines?
-
Hello,
I have just updated content at some URL site links, and I also added new URL content.
Should I submit URL or re-create a sitemap then submit it to search engines?
And please advise me some tools for submit them?
-
No, there is a submit option in Google Webmaster Tools under Health -> Fetch as Google.
You can also just point some links to it from a few social bookmarking sites. If you're using Wordpress, you can include a few ping services to notify under your Writing settings:

Thanks!
Should I use auto-submit URL tools to submit new URL to search engines?

Your sitemap should be updated whenever you create new pages. That's the point of having a sitemap.
If you're feeling impatient, you can try submitting your new/edited pages via Google Webmaster Tools, but I haven't noticed that having much of an impact. The best way to get new content indexed is to point internal & external links to it.

Should I Edit Sitemap Before Submitting to GWMT?
I use the XML sitemap generator at http://www.auditmypc.com/xml-sitemap.asp and use the filter that forces the tool to respect robots.txt exclusions. This generator allows me to review the entire sitemap before downloading it. Depending on the site, I often see all kinds of non-content files still listed on the sitemap. My question is, should I be editing the sitemap to remove every file listed except ones I really want spidered, or just ignore them and let the Google spiderbot figure it all out after I upload-submit the XML?

URL Rewrite
We are trying to convince a client to do a massive rewrite from all URL's looking like this: "www.company.com/category/categoryId=82374" to something like "www.company.com/womens/jackets/rain" How would you describe the importance and impact of doing URL rewrites to an ecommerce site? What evidence/research can we share with them to convince them it is worth the time and effort to do?

No Sub-Categories in XML Sitemap
I have a couple of sites using 3dcart, the ecommerce platform. Their tech support recently told me that they do not list sub-categories in the XML sitemap, only products and top-tier categories. Am I the only one that sees a problem with this? Thanks
