We have received one requirement for this website. http://www.coldcasebeer.com/
We would like to rank in Google during domain name search. If we are going to search following search terms in Google then We are not able to see this domain on first page of Google search result.
cold case beer
coldcasebeer
We have done quick research on this issue. And, We have decided to implement following tasks to make it happen. But, We are quite excited to read certain inputs on this question from experts!
1. Upload default Robots.txt file
2. Verify website on Google webmaster tools
3. Set up USA region on Google webmaster tools
4. Submit Google crawl request on Google webmaster tools
5. Title tag and Meta description optimization for all pages (There are 5 pages only on website)
6. Audit Google local listing
7. Develop quality links with domain name
-
Using the right meta title and description is the best practice for on page seo. Since the competition for the keywords are low, you should be able to rank easily for those keywords. All the very best
-
I am agree with quality link building. And, It may take certain time. I was assuming to Re-Furnish title tag and meta description for all pages. Because, Competition value is very low for both keywords. But, This is really insightful answer for me.

A social media strategy would also benefit rankings.

If i am not wrong then your site must be on top while you search for coldcasebeer.com
But if you are search for terms like "cold case beer" and "coldcasebeer" then you are not in the top. Because "coldcasebeer.com" is the complete domain name which you can easily get on top for. People basically are not searching for "coldcasebeer.com" until and unless they know it is a branded term. Where as "cold case beer" and "coldcasebeer" can still have some search volumes and people may still be searching for these terms on google. These exactly are keywords that you need to rank for. And your domains is an EMD ( Exact match domain ) which means your domain name contains the exact keywords that people are searching for.
In order to rank for these terms you need to create quality backlinks using the these keywords as your anchor text. Don't over do it. You can use closely related terms as well when you are building backlinks. You backlink profile needs to have the right balance between the anchor texts you are using. Create backlinks related to "branded terms" as well.

What should my site name be?
Hello, I'm a physical therapy clinic in Fort Myers, FL. Currently my website is named "Physical Therapy Fort Myers". My company name is Back In Motion Sport & Spine Physical Therapy. My question is, should I rename my site under my business name or is it OK to keep it as "physical therapy fort myers"?

Deciding on domain
Hi, I have a company website that I have access to and it's bcannon.remax-mississippi.com. It allows you to choose a domain and have it 301 redirected so I changed it to Oxfordmissrealestate.com. I noticed that the page and domain authority for bcannon.remax-mississippi.com was pretty high so I took off the Oxfordmissrealestate.com domain and just left it as this subdomain. My question is, would you leave it how it is as the subdomain or change it? Thanks!

Are three Adsense ads on a long page a negative for search ranking?
I've not a site whose home page that is #1 for a popular keyword. The page is 1200 words, plus comments following. It's a clean page with no popups, and has one large rectangle Adsense ad above the fold (lots of text around this ad, and a very high percentage of page ATF is text), and another large rectangle Adsense ad that is midway down the article (after you have to page twice to get there). So, it's a very low ad to text ratio and ATF looks very clean. I have room for one more Adsense ad closer to the bottom of the article, which would be about five page downs through the page. My question is, will placing another ad way down the page affect my ranking in any negative way? I'm so pleased with my #1 ranking I hesitate to add it. But the page converts in Adsense so well, and heat maps show a large number readers do read all the way down the page, so I'd like to pick up some more ad revenue.

Page rank question
Hi all, pretty standard SEO question that I'm sure you are all getting asked day in, day out... the following page: http://www.3wisemonkeys.co.uk/dvd/portable-dvd-player-car/ It's targetting keywords "portable dvd", "portable DVD player", "portable DVD players" & "portable dvd player for car". The page gets a grade A via Moz analytics On-page grader for the keywords. We have incoming links and I believe the page is structured correctly with all meta tags, H1 etc and tried not too overload the tags with keywords. We have the keywords in the URL etc. We are still stuck on page 2 for all phrases. Any thoughts or suggestions as to what we are doing wrong please? Any help would be great.

SEO Domain Values
I always thought that there was no difference in value between a .com and .net, also that hyphens have the same value as the keyphrase without the hyphen. But I have heard Rand lately saying hyphens are spammy - whats the go? Is CarParts.com better than Car-Parts.com or Car-Parts.net etc?

Does Google give any (negative) weight to .info domains?
Hi, All! We're working with a client on setting up a support blog for their site (not hosted on-site because it's a related topic, not directly about their business). We're thinking about a few domain possibilities, but for some of the ones we'd like the .com is already taken. .info (as well as others) are available, and the client is interested in using a different TLD, but I'm shying away from it because of the concern that: a) people will look at it more suspiciously (exactmatch.info? must be spam) - but maybe that's just because I'm an SEO b) does Google have anything against exact match domains with endings like .info, .net, etc.? (I know there's never any guarantee that the exact match domain will continue to hold its weight in the algorithm at all, but taking that as a given for now - and we are planning on putting decent quality original content on it). Thanks in advance for the input! Aviva
