Google Analytics Automated Reporting
-
HI all,
I tend to do a big reporting powerpoint deck using screenshots from google analytics and tables I create year end and mid year. It's like an 80 page report for the 10 webisite swe have and then I go ahead and make annotations as I see from the data.
That being said this can take a lot of time, up to a 40 hours of time to pull it all together or more which is challenging when you have daily meetings.
Anyhow, I've looked into automating and tried a couple things:
1. Tableau- but it keeps crashing and seems tedious
2. Dashlane and supergrabber- seem a bit tedious to set up too.
Anyone have ideas on how to better shar ereporting in the organization in this type of format for a website (websites)? Organic, paid, traffic, etc.

Consider connecting analytics to google spreadsheets. This way you can create your own dashboards and still pull in the annotations you want for your websites.

Hi Laura
You may want to check out http://www.analyticsseo.com/ - I have worked with this previously and it can produce the sort of reports you are talking about - kicking them out to powerpoint etc - http://www.analyticsseo.com/seo-reports/
You can create custom reports, connected to analytics and choose the format and then schedule the system to automatically run the report at a scheduled interval and email it to you.
Hope this helps

Hello, my friend.
I can't recommend you a solution on a market, since I haven't used any, but what you can use is a automated reporting, built-in in GA.
Or, and this is what I use, Google Analytics API. Gives you all data you want, you can style it however you want and customize it whichever way you want. Takes initial effort, but pays off later. Especially, since you said you gotta do it every year.

In Google Analytics, what is the correct format for excluding traffic from single IP address?
In the past, when we've setup a filter to exclude a single IP address, we just entered the IP address normally. For example, 64.68.82.164. However, I was researching how to exclude a range of IP addresses and found out that I might be using the wrong format to filter a single IP address. Is it supposed to be 64.68.82.164 or 64.68.82.164? Will it still work if it was entered without the escape characters? Thanks in advance Moz community for your assistance!

Google Analytics - Next Page Path is the Same URL?
Hey Everyone, I have a Google analytics question. I'm looking through a client's site and when I look at the next page path, I get the same URL as the next path. For example, on the homepage, the next page path I get is the homepage again? This happens for all URL's, is this an implementation error? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

If I install google Analytics, that can affect my SEO.?
I purchased a site that has a lot of Backlinks and when I started to make changes like installing google analytics! i suspect the performance in search engine was getting worst because of that, so I removed.

Google Analytics and backlinking
Let say I have my main site and my secondary site that is optimized for a slightly different set of keywords (nonetheless still relevant to my main site). I have several links from a secondary site to my main site. Secondary site is on a different C-block. Do you ladies and gentlemen think that if I put both websites under the same google analytics account, Google is going to penalize me or remove some of the juice that is flowing from secondary site to the main site because it would detect through GA that both sites belong to the same entity?

Google Analytics Alternatives
I am getting really fed up with how unreliable Google Analytics data is. Also, because I have several large sites I can't use the goal tracking or conversion funnel reports. What are the best alternatives to Google Analytics?

Can you get local search numbers/traffic out of Google Analytics?
With Google's new local search I am more curious as to market penetration on keywords that are now localized to my different US cities. I understand that you can separate out Google traffic based on regional Google domains, but I am curious if there is an effective way to separate out searches and keywords based on a my local US Metros? If google cannot do this, any recommendations on products that can? Thanks.
