How does one submit data to the Knowledge Graph?

I'm working with a very reputable open source civic data compiler who'd like to give their data to the knowledge graph for it to be used. Does anybody know where I should start with this?
Or, do you think it's possible to e-mail Google and ask to be included in the Knowledge Graph? The company that owns this compiler will likely have connections to them.

That's true. This compiler is very reputable as well, but it's in a not super popular niche, so bloggers aren't going to be writing about it a ton. It's reputable, but undiscovered.
From my understanding, Google would like all sorts of reputable information for the KG. The question is, with things that aren't as popular, how does one achieve this?

Wiki didn't call up Google and ask to be there, they earned it by proving their authority - links, citations, etc.

Right, but the Knowledge Graph already leverages authoritative sources, such as Wikipedia, so why can't this be one more source?

Not a chance. This works the same way as other organic rankings, strictly based on the algorithm.

Months ago it was still possible to create entries in Freebase ( https://developers.google.com/freebase/ ) that could be reuse in Google Knowledge Graph. Now it's completely closed and you have to create webpages, perhaps with schema in order to be added to Knowledge Graph.

Hi,
There's no way to simply submit content to the knowledge graph. For content to achieve knowledge graph status, it has to have proven to be a reputable, trustworthy source of said info. This is usually accomplished by the same methods you would use for typical SEO efforts; prove your content's worth with social proof, attract high quality links, become a thought leader in your niche, etc.

One of our clients has a ranking anomaly happening...
Good afternoon, Mozzers! My boss and I noticed a weird thing happening in the rankings for one of our clients. Just in case the niche has anything to do with it, the client is an HVAC company. When my boss is in an incognito window and he googles "commercial HVAC Portland" - The client showed up at #8. BUT ---- When I googled the same keyword-string in an incognito window, the client showed up at #14. We are both on the same IP. And we did these searches within minutes of one another. Does anyone know why / how this might be happening? We'd love to hear your thoughts!

Submitting Same Press Release Content to Multiple PR Sites - Good or Bad Practice?
I see some PR (press release) sites where they distribute the same content on many different sites and at end they give the source link is that Good SEO Practice or Bad ? If it is Good Practice then how Google Panda or other algorithms consider it ?

Why one of my top pages dropped?
Hello here. Our website, virtualsheetmusic.com, is pretty popular in the sheet music realm, and we used to rank on the first page for the keyword "violin sheet music" until a few weeks ago with our violin dedicated page: http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/downloads/Indici/Violin.html But a couple of weeks ago we dropped to over the 5th page on Google (I can't even find us!) and I have no idea why. Most of our top ranking pages are still there though. This never happened before, after 17 years on the web. Do you have any idea why that could have happened?

Possible problem with new site (GWT no queries/very low index vs. submitted)
Hi everyone, I recently launched a new website for a small business loan company in the Dallas area. The site has been live for roughly a month and a half. I submitted everything to GWT as usual, including my sitemap. I am not sure what's going on with the site, as there is no activity from GWT in the impressions or queries. The submit vs. index is 24/3 (and hasn't moved). Also the queries graph on the overview stops at 3/18/2015... On another note, when I go to Crawl > Sitemaps, it shows that there were pages indexed during the month of march and then on April 3 it drops from 17 to 2 and never increases. Google says there are no errors or issues found, but I feel like there's something wrong. When I do site:, my URLs do pop up which makes me believe there's just a problem with my GWT. With that being said, I'm not happy THINKING there's something wrong. I need to actually know what the problem is. The only thing I can think of that I have done is purchase SSL for the site, but when I search what pages are indexed using www. it shows all the HTTPS URLS, so that would tell me that the site is getting indexed without a problem? Webmaster Tools says that Structured Data is missing (author and updated)
Hi, Google Webmaster Tools tells me, that every blog category and blog post is missing: 'updated' 'author' I find this data under 'Structured Data' => The datatype is 'hentry'. Markup is microformats.org. Is this a problem for SEO? How can I fix this? Best, Robin

I have two sitemaps which partly duplicate - one is blocked by robots.txt but can't figure out why!
Hi, I've just found two sitemaps - one of them is .php and represents part of the site structure on the website. The second is a .txt file which lists every page on the website. The .txt file is blocked via robots exclusion protocol (which doesn't appear to be very logical as it's the only full sitemap). Any ideas why a developer might have done that?
