Domain Redirection
-
hi all - question we seem to see people ranking better naturally when they have the seo term in their title.
Say we were optimising for "red buses". Our company was called Diamond
we are using Diamond.co and have a DA of 32 (Page Title Diamond Red Buses | Bla)
Should we buy diamondredbuses.co.uk ? Is it best to continue on our domain and redirect? Or move domains? How much would it affect?

Question we seem to see people ranking better naturally when they have the SEO term in their title. That's right a basic on-page optimization rule say that you need to have your main keyword in Title, Meta Description, URL and also on the content
Say we were optimizing for "red buses". Our company was called Diamond. We are using Diamond.co and have a DA of 32 (Page Title Diamond Red Buses | Bla). Primary Keyword - Secondary Keyword -Brand Name
**Should we buy diamondredbuses.co.uk? Is it best to continue on our domain and redirect? Or move domains? How much would it affect? ** Migrate your website is not a simple task even worst if you have a website with traffic and rankings. In fact is a risky process if you don't know what are you doing. So keep your website as it is.

Hi there,
No, you should not buy that domain. It will not help you at all.
Besides worrying about this, focus on creating a hell of a content and bringing the best experience for users.Hope it helps.
Best luck.

Old domain to new domain what happens to the old site?
Hello We rebranded 5 months ago, and set up a new domain for the new brand name which sits on different hosting to the old. We still have the old hosting running with the old site still on it. We have set up redirects to the new domain and wondered when/if we can turn off the old site hosting?

Will changing a site from https to normal http have any SEO impact if we do automatic redirects?
We currently have a site which uses https and want to change to normal http only (for reasons unrelated to SEO). We were planning to do this with a change in our server configuration (we use Nginx, and can automatically redirect https to http). Our site has been around for approx 1 year, so there are links floating around in the Internet which will still be using https. These will be automatically redirected to http. What will be the impact on our SEO? I understand that our webmaster tools account may need to change...

301 redirect usage
I just wondering if using a lot of 301 redirects could hurt to my seo? We have site which have a lot of content with such links: title: This Is Title page url: www.site.com/This-Is-Title-page.html and we use for each page 301 redirect to remove capital letters in url: www.site.com/this-is-title-page.html Is this is good idea and not hurting to seo ? Thanks in advance

Generic domain for SEO versus Brand name
I am currently building a retail e-commerce site in a highly competitive area. We have a generic brand name; e.g. kitchen-knives.com and we also have another brand name, e.g. 'slycers.com' We have 3 options that I can see and I would like to know which is better for SEO. Build generic.com as a blog site. Link to brand.com 301 redirect from generic.com to brand.com. Use generic.com as anchor text in all links 301 redirect from brand.com to generic.com . Use generic.com as anchor text in all links Also, if there are other better options, then I would appreciate the input! thanks

SEO Domain Values
I always thought that there was no difference in value between a .com and .net, also that hyphens have the same value as the keyphrase without the hyphen. But I have heard Rand lately saying hyphens are spammy - whats the go? Is CarParts.com better than Car-Parts.com or Car-Parts.net etc?
