How useful do you think generating content can be for a site?

You are selling products where knowledge, practice and skill can improve a person's satisfaction. You need educational content and video demonstrations.
You are selling products where a complex decision is needed to make a purchase. Again you need educational content and demonstrations.
You are selling products that require some maintenance. Yes EC and VD.
A very similar business to yours is Braun. They have a great website with lots of high quality, professionally-done informative content with lots of videos. I am a customer of theirs and their website has been very helpful. I have gone there several times and will go there again in the future. Check it out. I bought their product twice because their website was so helpful.

It depends a lot on what you define as "credibility".
In my opinion, we shouldn't be talking about credibility, but about relevancy.
From a Google standpoint, at least what we know and what experiments have proven, these might be some key points to increase relevancy:- Create usefull and user-targeted content
- Being an expert and authority in the field. This is what's called EAT. More to know here: How to create content that Google wants - Moz
- Make sure your content is out there so other people can share and link to it.
- Keep your content updated and relevant.
- A fast and mobile-friendly website, that gives users a great experience.
As you see, it is mostly focused on users and the content you offer.
On a second level, you can influence a little bit more by getting links, but as their impact has been slowly decreasing in the last years, I'd advise against relying on links.A great place to read about more about creating a relevant website is Google's quality raters guidelines and I also found helpful the Whiteboard friday with Marie Haynes about E-A-T and the Quality Raters' Guidelines.

I think generating content as long as you have a content strategy can greatly enhance the credibility of your site and is quite useful.
In addition, smart linking can improve the credibility of your domain.

I use Moz Local to sync my Endocrinology medical clinic website to search engines and directories and it has helped me a lot. However, I want to start a blog that deep dives into Endocrine based issues like diseases and conditions. Driving Website Traffic
How much does organic traffic make up of your overall traffic? I have typically been driving my traffic through social channels and trying to get a feeling for how much of my traffic I should expect through SEO over time. For my blog www.shoottokyo.com I promote it through Google+, Facebook, and Tweeter. I also 'distribute' it through Feedburner, Google Currents, Feedly and a Newsletter. There isn't one way to promote but rather target actions through multiple channels. Google+: 1,500,000+ have me in circles Facebook: 3,000+ friends, fans and followers Twitter: 2,700+ followers Feedburner: 2,300+ subscribers Google Currents: 36,000+ subscribers Feedly: 1,000+ subscribers My newsletter: 2,900 subscribers Each of these are good sources of traffic. Are there others you would recommend considering? How much guest posting do you typically do?

Can I get Google to re-evaluate my comany's website?
For the last few months I've been rewriting website descriptions for the company I work for, trying to comply with the Panda algorithm as best I could. There are about 400 items. Today I am going to begin working on titles and descriptions. Website Building: Best practices for SEO and user interaction
I'm a noobie when it comes to SEO, with my knowledge coming from a few books and blogs. What are some of the best practices that you use when building a website for SEO and for user interaction? I've read about the following, but am not sure if they are still relevant. Good day Mozzers! A friend of mine recently asked for my help in regards to online marketing. While getting familiar with his online presence, I realized that he has a blog hosted under a completely different URL Main Site = http://pardons.org/ (page rank 4)

It has over 280+ blog posts spanning over a few years, so there is A LOT of content that could benefit his main site. However is it worth it, or should he continue to run everything as 2 different sites? Also, of you suggest moving the content over, what would be the best way to do it in your opinion? He currently has links on his blog TO his main site, so there is a little bit of link juice there, but with a average of 300 views a day, he only get about 10 clicks to his main site from the blog.
