Google places - multiple clients
-
Is there any issue with adding multiple clients websites/locations to our Google Places account?
-
I followed the steps I read in some help forums - basically deleting it from one account and then claiming it again. I just had to answer my phone to get a PIN and it all took just a day or two..

How were you able to transfer ownership of a Google Places local listing? As far as I was aware it involved a process that could take months to complete. So would be great to hear your way
-
I setup a new Google account for each - I tried multiple in one, and was able to transfer them to a new account without any issue. In the end, I thought it was worth separating them just to keep everything tidy. I also added their Google analytics and webmaster tools to the same account.

You can have them all on your Google account. But you can't transfer them in the future (or at least the process is long and not guaranteed).
I strongly advise that you set it up on their account, or at least create a new account which you can then transfer ownership of in the future.

Google Local landing pages
Just wondering what the best way to handle the landing page from a google plus local profile is. I had changed it to page that I created for the specific location with a citation with correct NAP, but realized that in OSE that my root domain lost almost all its G+'s. I'm torn and just looking for some advice. I've done quite a bit of work trying to correct citations, adding citations, and reading reading reading to learn more about Google Local but the results have been pretty rough.

Merge google plus and google plus business
Hi guys While logged in to my Google account Ive noticed we have 2 Google plus pages. https://plus.google.com/103609762965753667153/posts https://plus.google.com/b/112981948934843525105/112981948934843525105/posts Both accessed through the same email login. One has different posts than the other!! Is there a way to merge both of these? AmI right in thinking one is a personal profile and the other is a business one? We have multiple authors for our blog and each has their own google plus page and correct authorship set up etc but having these 2 pages is more work to manage. Any ideas? ThanksRobert

Confused about Google+ Local vs Google Places
If you're doing SEO for a new local business that currently does not have a Google Places listing (or a Google+ Local page), do you have to set up both for them? Or do you simply create the Google Places listing and wait for Google to merge it to a Google+ Local page? I am so confused!

How quick do you see google places rankings update
We have submitted allot of citations over the last 60 days for a client. A very prominent business in their city. Pretty good SEO rankings considering we just started doing SEO a couple months ago. Over the last several weeks we have fixed all listings and removed duplicates. Site is optimized properly and etc.. After how many weeks should I see a change in places rankings? Right now they are not moving up at all.

Does each listing in Google plcaes need a seperate URL?
Hi We have a client who has several car dealership fracnhises located located across two suburbs - so we are creating a places listing for each (with a separate address and phone number). My questions is should each location also have a separate URL (the dealership only has one website covering all locations). The Google guidelines state that you must; Website & Phone: Provide a phone number that connects to your individual business location as directly as possible, and provide one website that represents your individual business location. Use a local phone number instead of a call centre number whenever possible. Do not provide phone numbers or URLs that redirect or “refer” users to landing pages or phone numbers other than those of the actual business. Really appreciate any feedback!

How does google decide what city a blog belongs to?
I'm trying to build links from more local blogs at the moment and considering a huge list of blogs that are in my city, of which many do accept guest posts. I'm trying to discover a metric to thin this list down further. Is there any way of finding out if google considers a specific blog to be local to a certain area? What signals does google consider when it is making this analysis? Is it the content? or is it the "about the blog author" section? Thanks, Storwell

Why is here no extra section for Google Shopping
does really nobody care for the most important search result for shops beside organic result? google shoping results mostly pop up in organic results on 3rd place. Vertical SEO Video, Image, Local etc. etc. is not really Shopping Results!

Google Places - Different NAP on various directories...
My client's veterinary clinic uses a service called Localvets.com which is a division of Yext.com. This service updates listings and sponsors them across various directories. Since this is a referral service (they get paid for new clients) they use a custom phone number and custom website address for these listings. Question: Is this hurting the SEO potential of the Google Places listing since the N.A.P. are not the same? Thoughts?
