Advantages of Wordpress Pages versus Posts
-
I have a number of SEO focused articles that I would like to post to our site to help with content and rankings. I am wondering the advantages of posting the content as a page versus a post within Wordpress. Or even vice versa.
Any thoughts on whether I should do as a page or post? Thanks.

Isn't your Blog basically viewed as one page?
Posting on your site has some value in adding more SEOo content (Title Tags, Meta stuff) as long as its well organized.

One important factor about Wordpress in general is it's robust ping system. Each time a post is published a list of ping servers are notified and it helps to get content indexed VERY quickly, plus posts have datestamps on them so they are more likely to appear on searches for recent articles. Go posts!

In wordpress a post provides extra tools for organizing the content: by category, author, date, tag.
A page is meant for content that doesn't need those classifications, and typically pages are used to create the main navigation links.
It all boils down to how you want to structure your site, but like the others mentioned using the blog post format provides certain benefits: the user understands they can follow feeds and comment on blog posts. Also, if you're using add-ons the categories and tags can be very helpful for things like Related posts.

If you are going to continue to write new articles on an ongoing basis the best platform for this info would be a blog. The only thing that would make me lean away from that is if you said you just had a number of articles and only wanted to put those up, but didn't plan on continuing to produce new content. If you are going to keep posting on a regular basis the blog is by far the better option.

I would not be too concerned on where you put the content on the site as long as the content can be crawled by the search spider. Blog is the best place on a website to provide good quality content to your users where they can subscribe to RSS and follow your work. It can also increase chances of generating User Generated Content on your website which will ultimately benefit your rankings.

What to do about pages I have deleted?
I have been working through the dead links on my page and recreating the page with new content for those pages that it still makes sense to have on the site. But I have a few that were just changes of the title, spelling mistakes or other ways of saying the same thing In other words I created a page called "areas of the UK we cover" but decided to change it to "areas covered" However, I must have created links to this page and now it is a dead link with a page authority of 19 I think it would be spammy to have two pages, one called "areas covered" and the other called "areas of the UK we cover. It's not a disallow in Robots.txt because the page does not exist Please note I do not have access to the header to add code for a 301 redirect. I'm still using webs.com but not for new sites. I also have a page called singing telegrams london, that I changed from singagrams london. These are two words for the same thing but they are two very different keywords would it be ok to recreate this page and create content for singagrams london. Help is much appreciated

Google Is Ranking the Wrong Page
Howdy Folks- I have a case where Google is ranking the wrong page for a couple of different keywords. The home page is: http://healthtn.com Most notably, we're trying to optimize the home page for "Tennessee Health Insurance" but the below page is what continually ranks for it, and does so very poorly. We used to be page two with the home page, now we are page four and it ranks the following page. http://healthtn.com/tennessee/health-insurance/student I have started directing our Internal Linking to reflect the correct anchor text but succeeded in losing ranking for the term, but am still ranking the wrong page. Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated!

Is there any decent web browser that still displays the full page title at the top of the page?
I just updated to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac and saw that they now hide most of the page title in the browser tab, like Chrome and Safari. I like to be able to see the full page title at all times (for reasons I'm sure you all understand) and that's pretty much the only reason I stuck with Firefox all these years. Now I'm looking for an alternative – any suggestions?

How is this page ranking?
Hi. A client of mine is being outranked by a competitor whose landing page does not include the keyword within their page content AT ALL. Nor does their URL. Nor do any image alts. And their page title features the keyword in the middle of it, not at the start. Their link profile is not great with directories and the like. They are not socially active.. I am confused! I thought content on a page absolutely had to include the keyword to get ranked for it. Here's the page: www.springsoft.ie, keyword is "water softeners" Any thoughts I would appreciate. Many thanks.Christoffa

Why some pages are not indexed?
I have a furniture´s ecommerce. When searching for "site: movstore.com.br" returned 1080 results, but if I search for "site: movstore.com.br / Product" returned 1020 results. I mean, that 1080 indexed pages, 1020 are products pages and the other 60 pages are irrelevant. Where are the category pages? "site: movstore.com.br / Categories" - 0 results
