Where did the link building section go?

Used to be a section on link building before the redesign. Where did it go?

Casey from SEOmoz responded to this question in another thread with the following: "That article was out of date and replaced by a chapter in our Beginners Guide to SEO", which is the link below that Gyi quoted.

Actually no, but before the redesign if you did go there there were a bunch of links in the footer. One of them was about link building and had several sub categories.

Should I focus on building links to my homepage, or internal pages?
I'm hiring several PA's to contact site's linking to my competition. Should we try to get links to content pages (blog post, article, etc) or build links directly to my homepage? More info: My site is a web application, so most links will naturally fall on the homepage. If links to content are more important we'll need to change our strategy. We are moving to HTTPS and wanted to know if our link building efforts were in vain or will the link juice pass to HTTPS?
