Actually no, but before the redesign if you did go there there were a bunch of links in the footer. One of them was about link building and had several sub categories.

Does this link building actually work?

Doing a small SEO project for a local dermatologist and when reviewing competitor link profiles I found one site that was earning a TON of links from other doctors throughout the country. From what I can tell, it looks like this web development company builds medical practice sites, then puts a page on each site that links to all other practices they created site for. At What Point Are We Doing Too Much Link Building?

Hello Mozzers! This is a question that has been gnawing at the back of my mind as I learn more and more about link building. Historically, we have offered scaling package sizes with larger numbers of backlinks hand-built each month. We do this so our packages are very tangible for our clients. Our packages range from 15-100 backlinks each month. As I learn more about how to build links PROPERLY I am finding it next to impossible to keep up. I feel like we are definitely going the wrong direction in that regard. What are some of your thoughts on this? Thank you in advance for your valuable advice and support, Moz community!

Link Building & Juice

I have a corporate client which has multiple franchises, therefore microsites (www.example.com/cityname) within their corporate website(www.example.com). I am trying to build some links for these microsites that are lot weaker than the corporate web page in terms of PA. We worked hard putting most of these locations into local directories such as Google places and yahoo local, but the ones on yahoo local are all pointing to www.example.com even when you search a specific city when it suppose to be www.example.com/cityname. So first thought is to edit all of the yahoo locals to the microsite webpages for every locations but then I thought that wasn't a good idea since I will split the juice passed to the corporate website www.example.com. The corporate website is really important and wouldn't want to weaken its PA. Can someone tell me what are my options in order to not hurt the corporate website and to improve ranking for these weak microsites? should I still edit those yahoo listings to the microsite website or not? if not what how will I be able to build more links? Thank you!!

A few questions about link building?

1. Is it worth gaining more then 1 link on a website when link building, for example if I did a guest post on a blog, is it worth doing another guest post on the same blog linking to the same website? So 2 guest posts on 2 blogs, or 4 guest posts on 4 blogs? 2. When building links through guest blogging, you have two options, a link in the byline and a link in the content. Will a link in the content have more benefit then in the byline as its surrounded by relevant content? 3. Does having a link higher up the page have more benefit then one lower down?

Link building for rankings VS Link building for relationships

A Big Shout To Everyone -- Good Morning and What's Up 🙂 As I read today through seomoz professional guide to link building and the section why link building matters and in addition to this a newsletter I received today that changed my whole thinking towards link building for rankings vs for relationships. It is already happening on social networks if you are active there, but what about on your website. What are your thoughts on the following ? Google's job is provide the most relevant results to surfers online, and looking the link profile of a site & the page itself is the key to determining which page to serve on plate to the surfers link query ! Webmasters Site Objective:
I think that we as webmasters have to ask ourselves what do we want to achieve with link building. To get quick traffic or build slow authority links, high rankings, lead generation, sales & other things here I may be missing etcccc Other Objective Networking & Relationship Building Alliances : What I discovered today is that building links for 1st page rankings are great and will provide me with steady traffic, but not all of it is targeted traffic, but what else can I do to bring targeted traffic and at the same time try to build alliances with other related non competing business owners online. The idea... is to apply old school networking / relationship building alliances to get targeted traffic to my site that can actually benefit from my services. How Do We Achieve This I become a editor for approving resource links for me site, only the best will be placed on my site as a resource. Build a valuable tightly themed categorized resource section with related non competing resources that can help my sites visitors find what they are looking for, send visitors to non competing resources that may purchase their services which helps me build a relationship with them, and may can with rankings as well, provided I am selective with my qualification process.
