Is there any method by which Google can display Sitelinks ?

Is it so that Google shows the pages with the most backlinks for the Sitelinks ?

or sitelinks are shown only for the number one listing ?

It all works on the algorithms and depends on the search term being used.

Regional Sitelinks

We are a global brand & have each regional site setup as a sub-domain. au.mybrand.com
eu.mybrand.com
us.mybrand.com I have noticed for branded searches in Australia the SERP is showing the regional site (au.mybrand.com) as the first listing = great BUT the sitelinks below are showing for the USA site us.mybrand.com = incorrect Any ideas how to resolve by marking up the code or in Search Console? Wrong sitelinks (from the old homepage on the domain)

Hi there, I am quite a novice when it comes to SEO. So you'll have to forgive me if the questions has already been asked by someone before me. The question is about site links in google. Google does generate som sitelinks, but some of the are seemingly generated on the basis of the old homepage. All the sitelinks corresponds to menu items, but two of those items exist only in the homepage on the domain. The fact that the SERP entry is not exactly as we wanted it to be is not strange at alle. We have yet to write in a propper metadescription, and optimize for the right keywords. Because that, I gather from my research, has a great role to play for googles decisions about which lins to use as sitelinks. But I do not understand why google decides to use link names on a page that is no longer there as sitelinks on a new page without those link names. I would like to understand this before experimenting with keywords and metadescriptions. I will appreciate an explanation as well as any advice on the relation been keywords and metadescritions. Sitelinks Issue - Different Languages

Hey folks, We run different ccTLD's for revolveclothing.com (revolveclothing.es, revolveclothing.com.br, etc. etc.) and they all have their own WMT/Google Console with their own href lang tags etc. The problem is this. https://www.google.fr/#q=revolve+clothing When you look at the sitelinks, you'll see that one of them (sales page) happens to be in Portuguese on the French site. Can anyone investigate and see why?

Hi All, Please can you let me know the name and / or point me at an article / blog / directory on how best to achieve additional links under a search engine listing (I don't mean site links) e.g. I do a search for 'home insurance' on Google.co.uk and under the listing for Compare the Market it has - home insurance, building insurance and landlords insurance. How do I EXPAND my sitelinks?

When I search for my site in Google, I am able to see 4 sitelinks below the main result. The problem is, Google is only showing the hyperlinks. When I search for other companies, it shows the hyperlinks plus some text below each link. How do I add this extra text? The attached image is not of my site but it shows the exact same problem for the top 2 results. Google Sitelinks

Is there anyway to control the sitelinks under a listing in Google? I have a group of lawyers where 1 of the them is showing up in the sitelinks. They want all of the lawyers to show up. Right now it is showing 1 lawyer, about page, contact us page, etc. Thanks!!!!

404 appearing in Sitelinks

I am little embarresed to say that the custom 404 page is appearing in a client's Sitelinks for their brand name search term. I have demoted this page from Sitelinks for the brand term but it still appears 😞 What is the best practise for a custom 404 page appearing in a sitemap and/or being blocked by robots.txt? Thanks
