Anchor text in Flash Discoverable by Search Engines?

What recommendations do you all have to make anchor text discoverable in flash? More importantly is it even possible and does it contribute to link juice?

Hi,

Working in SEO I always cringe when a designer mentions Flash. However my phobia of Flash is old school and maybe I need to get with the times. Google will crawl textual content in Flash, including anchor texts. It will also follow links in Flash and presumably applies the same 'link juice' factors that it would normally apply to links.

Google adding text to SERP title which isn't relevant

Hi guys, I have a site with around 300 articles on it and these articles came from three old domains which were migrated during a Wordpress domain migration almost four months back. There The problem I'm having is that for quite a lot of the articles in the SERP, Google is adding '- Maine Coons' to the end of the title. One of our old domains was related to this breed of cat so at least in Google's eyes it must have something to do with this I guess. I've attached a screenshot that shows one such example. What's odd is a lot of the new content that has been created also has this suffix added and it doesn't show in any other search engine. So, it doesn't appear in other search engines and it's not coming from the article itself (proved also via developer tools inspecting the code). So, Google is adding it but as you can see in this example (there are many more) it has absolutely no relevance to the post. Has anyone seen this behavior or have any idea how to fix it? I've tried all kinds of things and have even hired SEO 'experts' that haven't been able to see any problems. Any clues? Thanks, Matt K71Y3P9

We just can't figure out the right anchor text to use

We have been trying everything we can with anchor text. We have read here that we should try naturalistic language. Our competitors who are above us in Google search results don't do any of this. They only use their names or a single term like "austin web design". Is what we are doing hurting our listings? We don't have any black hat links. Here's what we are doing now. Skip indexing the search pages

Hi, I want all such search pages skipped from indexing www.somesite.com/search/node/ So i have this in robots.txt (Disallow: /search/) Now any posts that start with search are being blocked and in Google i see this message A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more. How can i handle this and also how can i find all URL's that Google is blocking from showing Thanks

Huge drop in ranking, but only for a single search term

Hello All, We've just noticed a huge drop in ranking for one of our key search terms. On January 9th we dropped from page 1 (Google UK) to page 7 - out of the top 50 completely! Nothing has changed on the page for a number of months, and rankings for other search terms seem unaffected. Has anyone else been affected recently in a similar manor? Sorry if this sounds a little vague - but we're struggling to understand how this might have happened. It seems very odd that only this particular search term would be affected so dramatically. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Search optimal Tab structure?

Good day, We are in the process of starting a website redesign/development. We will likely be employing a tabbing structure on our home page and would like to be able to capitalize on the keyword content found across the various tabs. The tab structure will be similar to how this site achieves tabs: http://ugmo.com/ I've uploaded a screen grab of this page as the Googlebot user agent. The text "Soil Intelligence for professional Turf Managers" clicks through to this page: http://ugmo.com/?quicktabs_1=1#quicktabs-1 So I'm thinking there could be some keyword dilution there. That said Google is very much aware of the text on the quicktabs-1 page being related to the home page content: http://www.google.com/search?q=Up+your+game+with+precise+soil+moisture%2C+salinity+and+temperature+measurements.+And+in+the+process%2C+save+water%2C+resources%2C+money.+inurl%3Augmo.com&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe= Is this the best search optimal way to add keyword density on a home page with a tab structure? Similar category names result in similar urls and duplicate anchor texts

Hi all, I'm working on an e-commerce website about car tuning and car parts. There are main categories like ( Aerodynamics, Power tuning, Interior, Wheels, Tires, etc. ) and in the products are organized in sub-categories representing the product manufacturer, car manufacturer and car model + modification. Unfortunately this kind of structure creates duplicate sub-category names. For example we can have parts for Audi A4 8K in Aerodynamics and ABT, and the same time we can have Power tuning from the same manufacturer and for the same car, or Sport brakes for the same car by different manufacturers. So here are how some links look-like: /alfa-romeo-147-c1070-en /alfa-romeo-147-c234-en /alfa-romeo-147-c399-en These are totally different categories, with the same anchor text and almost the same url addresses ( the only difference in the urls is the category id ). Can this be affecting the site's indexation, and which can be the better way to create the internal link structure ?
