How to make Google forget my pages ?

Hello all !
I've decided to delete many pages from my website wich had poor content.
I've made a php 301 redirect from all these old pages to a unique page (not the home page, a deep page).
My problem is that this modification has been made a week ago and my position in the SERPs have crashed down...
What can I do ? I believe that I'll get up again when Google will see that these pages don't exist anymore but it could take a long time
(these page are in the Google cache with a date older than my modification's date)I've read somewhere that I should put a link to the destination page (where old pages are 301 redirected) but I don't understand how it could help...
Can someone help me ? Tell me what I've done wrong...
These pages were very poor and I've deleted them in order to boost the global quality of my site... It should help me in the SERPs, not penalize me...

Yeah... I know that I've juste removed BL to my home page (for example).
But these pages were really poor I and I believe that my website is cleaner now... It should please Google now, better than before.
I just hope that it will compensate the bad pages removal.

Yea, they're not going to let you bog down their server with that many requests! LOL
I was unaware of the 1000s of pages and URLs you now want redirected. And if those pages had links going to your other pages, you've officially removed any link juice they were providing for one another which would impact your rank. Page A to Page B and so on...

There are thousands and thousands pages...
I already use GWT and that's not the right way for so many pages...

If you are completely removing these pages, you also want them removed from the search engine directories. Google has Webmaster Tools to do this, and you also have to update robots.txt so the search engines will stop trying to crawl pages that do not exist anymore.

Not sure about the "other guys". With Microsoft creating Bing and taking over Yahoo, I'm not sure they're up to snuff yet. However, Bing does have Webmaster Tools as well (http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster/), but I haven't played around with all of its features just yet.

Google does not want to index my page
I have a site that is hundreds of page indexed on Google. But there is a page that I put in the footer section that Google seems does not like and are not indexing that page. I've tried submitting it to their index through google webmaster and it will appear on Google index but then after a few days it's gone again. Before that page had canonical meta to another page, but it is removed now.

Switched to HTTPS, now Google ALWAYS changes Page Title & Meta in SERPs
Wordpress website using Yoast. Website switched over from HTTP to HTTPS successfully about 6 months ago. Noticed after the fact that Google almost never displays the Page Title or Meta Description I've created in Yoast. Yoast is the only SEO plug-in enabled. Yoast is set to Force Rewrite the Page TItles. The Page titles & Meta Descriptions are always within the character limit. They also contain either an exact or partial match the queries in which Google shows a different Page Title & Meta Description. For some Queries, Google will display the URL as the Page Title for certain queries. Concrete example, search for: public administration jobs Screenshot of results attached. Putting "noindex" on a page that's in an iframe... what will that mean for the parent page?
If I've got a page that is being called in an iframe, on my homepage, and I don't want that called page to be indexed.... so I put a noindex tag on the called page (but not on the homepage) what might that mean for the homepage? Nothing? Will Google, Bing, Yahoo, or anyone else, potentially see that as a noindex tag on my homepage?

How do I know what pages of my site is not inedexed by google ?
Hi I my Google webmaster tools under Crawl->sitemaps it shows 1117 pages submitted but 619 has been indexed. Is there any way I can fined which pages are not indexed and why? it has been like this for a while. I also have a manual action (partial) message. "Unnatural links to your site--impacts links" and under affects says "Some incoming links" is that the reason Google does not index some of my pages? Thank you Sina

Google Is Indexing The Wrong Page For My Keyword
For a long time (almost 3 mounth) google indexing the wrong page for my main keyword.

The problem is that each time google indexed another page each time for a period of 4-7 days, Sometimes i see the home page, sometimes a category page and sometimes a product page.
It seems though Google has not yet decided what his favorite / better page for this keyword. In addition I have many links I get from bloggers that asked to do a review on one of my products, I'm very careful about that and so I'm always checking the blogger and their website only if it is something good, I allowed it. also i never ask for a link back (must of the time i receive without asking), and as I said, most of their links are anchor with my website name. On Page vs Off Page - Which Has a Greater Effect on Rankings?
Hi Mozzers, My site will be migrating to a new domain soon, and I am not sure how to spend my time. Should I be optimizing our content for keywords, improving internal linking, and writing new content - or should I be doing link building for our current domain (or the new one)? Is there a certain ratio that determines rankings which can help me prioritize these to-dos?, such as 70:30 in favor of link-building? Thanks for any help you can offer!

Landing Page - Home Page redesign SEO factor question - Serious concern.
Hi Folks, I'm considering making a big change to our website and really need some expert advise. Will we lose ranking if we do what I propose? Our site www.meninkilts.com, needs to split users/clients by "Commercial" and "Residential" so we can message/market completely differently to each client. We are considering doing this structure: Landing Page | | Commercial Homepage Residential Homepage Right now we rank well, for our keywords like "Window Cleaning cityname" but are worried that adding a landing page, and splitting our site to two homepages will effect seo (ie: a landing page would only have two buttons: one for commercial and one for residential). How to use my time: Make my site bigger or make link wheels?
I have a site which consist of about 500 pages. It's the biggest of it's tiny niche, and I'm making a livin' out of it (it gets me clients). So this is important to me. I have access to tons and tons of non-copyrighted relevant texts. This text is not on the www, and thus would be unique to google. All though the text is relevant, it's not really useful for my visitors. How to use this text and get the most of my time spent? 1. Making thousands of articles on my website, with internal linking to the "selling" keyword pages? 2. Use text to make a lot of link wheels - eventually linking to my main site?
