Hi Vijay, make sure you're using the old (flash based) vimeo embed code for the video and then use the sitemap below as a template for structuring yours. You need to fill in the gaps for anything written in bold italics.
<urlset xmlns="<a href=" http:="" www.sitemaps.org="" schemas="" sitemap="" 0.9"="">http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9” xmlns:video="http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap-video/1.1"></urlset>
<loc>http://www.yourdomain.com/page-containing-video</loc>
video:thumbnail_lochttp://www.yourdomain.com/thumbnail-image</video:thumbnail_loc>
video:titleVideo Title</video:title>
video:descriptionVideo Meta Description</video:description>
<video:player_loc allow_embed="yes" autoplay="ap=1">http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=_VIDEOIDNUMBER_video:player_loc></video:player_loc>
video:duration</video:duration>Length of video in seconds (number only) e.g. 267
video:publication_date2012-02-29T18:30:15+00:00</video:publication_date>
video:family_friendlyyes</video:family_friendly>
video:tagT_arget Keyword 1_</video:tag>
<video:uploader info="<em>https://plus.google.com/userid">Name<strong><span class=" s2"=""></video:uploader>
video:liveno</video:live>

Serge,
I'm afraid it does matter what platform you are using to host the videos - the platform will define a lot of elements of the sitemap and method of embedding is also incredibly important.
-
No it does not change. Does not matter what platform you are running, try try tools from the post above and you ' ll see
-
Hi Vijay,
I'll probide you with a sitemap template. Are you using Vimeo Pro? Or just a standard vimeo license?
Thanks,
Phil

Hey Vijay, I think that Vimeo won't change any things.Sometimes the only issue which you can get when the videos are streamed from Vimeo is the 'embed code' issue.
So from here you can get How do I Post Vimeo video . & If you get the embed code issue then Video Embed Issue will resolve the proble.
I hope that you will find the solution.

thank you , I have a WP site with an SEO plugin, but my videos are streamed from Vimeo. does this change things? thank you Serge.

Hello Vjay, First of all a video sitemap is an XML file that tells search engines where videos can be found on a website. It helps search engines understand that it is indeed a video file, what the video content is, and what the technical specifications of the specific video are.

Site videos and rich snippets - where to place video
Hi all, we have product videos that we are putting on our (new) site. The video thumbnail for a product is displayed along with image thumbnails on the product details page i.e. see here: http://www.3wisemonkeys.co.uk/dvd/portable-dvd-player-car/twin-dvd-player/nextbase-sdv48ac/ Click on the video thumbnail and a lightbox pop up window displays the movie. We would like to markup the videos with rich snippet markup. Is this possible with the videos setup in this way (i.e. video displayed in Lightbox) or would we need to embed the video in the product description text on this page (rather than thumbnail with Lightbox popup as it is at the moment) so that we stood a chance of getting a rich snippet on Google SERPs for our product detail pages? Thanks for any help.

Do I need to use a CNAME for wistia video hosting?
I'm using Wisita for video hosting. My strategy is to allow other sites to embed videos to get links - I want the video linking back to my site not wistia or the embeding site. Do I need to use the Wistia CNAME or is a wistia subdomain acceptable?

HTML5 Video - Rich Snippet Markup and Quality
Hi guys, We're trying to get Rich Snippets for videos on our pages. I feel comfortable-ish with getting this set up, but I have a few questions. I was wondering whether anyone had any experience with this? Is there any additional markup to the <video>tag to get rich snippets</video> How do you handle multiple qualities - i.e. HD? Does the ogg and mp4 file need to be included? Any help/links to articles would be really helpful. Thanks!

What is the best way to include video transcripts on your pages?
I just posted a question as a comment on this blog post (http://www.audiotranscription.org/6-reasons-you-need-to-have-your-sites-videos-transcribed/comment-page-1/#comment-4311) and realized I probably should have asked the question here because it is really SEO-related. We are in the process of transcribing all of our videos. Can you someone recommend how best to post the transcript file on our product pages? For example, here's a product page that has a video review on it: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/behringer-x32-digital-mixing-system. Would it be best to post a link to the transcript file or insert the iframe transcript file from DotSub.com (in that case wouldn't DotSub.com be getting credit for our original content?) or, should we just let our captions on the YouTube stream from there (which is what's happening right now)? Will Google still crawl the transcript if the only place it's available is on YouTube? If so, doesn't YouTube get credited for that content, and not our site? Even if we do post a trascript on the page, if it appeared at YouTube first, wouldn't YouTube get credit for the original version? We want credit for that content...just not sure how to get it? I understand that moving to Wistia.com would probably solve most of these issues. What I'm trying to figure out is how best to handle new transcripts for existing videos over at YouTube?

Best practice using Video to increase website pagerank?
Goal: Leverage videos to get links and traffic back to website not video hosting platform site (e.g. YouTube) to generate website leads **Issue: ** If we place a video on a website using video YouTube embed code and video sitemap for the crawlers to index our video DOES show up in search results BUT that link goes back to YouTube. Great for increasing views on YouTube but not increasing link popularity for client website. Question: What are recommendations / best practice for SEO (such as using another player like Viddler, etc.) that will get video results from search engines back to the website? We want to leverage videos to build links and generate leads to client site.

What Tactics Are You Using for Video Marketing?
Hey everybody, I finally started shooting some screen capture videos and it is actually fun! Right now, I am uploading to Youtube and soon, Vimeo. Next, I embed them on a post and share it around a few social sites, Tweet it, and share it on my Facebook Page. I know there are more effective ways and sites for doing this. What tips can you Mozzers share? Thanks, Jared

Video SEO - Youtube vs. 3rd party hosting with Video Sitemap
We need some feedback on the best place to upload videos. Should we be uploading our videos everywhere (YouTube, Metacafe, Vimeo, etc.)? Note: Currently we are using a 3rd party video video hosting solution called Treepodia. Previously we used Wistia. Both host our videos, and submit a Video Sitemap through Webmaster tools. When one of these videos shows up in search results and somebody clicks on it, they are directed back to our website. Are we competing against ourselves if we upload videos to other networks like Youtube, etc. if we are already submitting a Video Sitemap through a 3rd party? I've noticed we rank higher in Google Videos search for our Youtube videos vs. our 3rd party hosted videos. Also, how do Youtube video views tie into this situation... we used to embed videos via Youtube embed code. Now we seem to be missing out on the extra views we were getting by doing so. Ultimate question: host videos through a 3rd party and submit a video sitemap OR host videos on Youtube and embed on our website?

Video SERP question
Hello MOZ Helpers.. Sometimes video results pop up in Uiversal search..for example for "recycle paint" my video for recycle paint residing on my website shows up on a Universal SERP SEE IMAGE 1..This happens even when I use an ip mask or change local..the confusing part is why my personal version trumps my youtube version SEE IMAGE 2. What metric(s) is Google using to rank videos, and what kind of benefit does this provide if the video points to your site vs. a video service like youtube or 5min? I have attached 2 images with IMGUR but search "recycle paint" to recreate [" target="_blank">>](<img src= "Hosted by imgur.com") [" target="_blank">>](img src= "Hosted by imgur.com") [http://imgur.com/tdCVM.jpg](a href= "Hosted by imgur.com")" target="_blank">a> [http://imgur.com/tdCVM.jpg](a href= "Hosted by imgur.com")" target="_blank">a> [" target="_blank">>](<img src= "Hosted by imgur.com") [" target="_blank">>](<img src= "Hosted by imgur.com") [" target="_blank">>](<img src= "Hosted by imgur.com")
