Is anyone else seeing 192.com taking over google.co.uk?

Just searched Google.co.uk for:
beauty salons in chelmsford
and on page 3, 192.com have 7 listings
What's going on?
Is anyone else seeing stuff like that?

EGOL, really appreciate your insight.
We certainly have searches that we do real well in, with the top 2/3/4 places claimed (and more spots on P2, P3 etc), but this is certainly one of the most extreme cases I've seen!

Did you know that for the typical keyword that less than 200 domains are all that can be found in the first 1000 results?
That's right. The typical domain has six to ten pages displayed in the first 1000.
What these guys have figured out how to do is saturate the top 30... and if you can apply a little force you can dominate the top 20 or even get the top 4.
... but you can't do that if you fear keyword cannibalization. Don't settle for one position.

Found a similar example today, UK SERPs for 'garden buildings'.
p1 #1 organic result - gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk
p2 - same website has #7-10 - four results!
p3 - same website has #1-9 - nine results!

All of the people who think that keyword cannibalization is a sin.... take a lesson from this.

I see the same result as you for that search, too. 192.com has a couple of listings on page one, a single listing on page two, and SEVEN on page three.

Changing / editing street view picture of premiss without drop in Google places ranking
Ive finally got a site quite high in the relevant Google places listings, after a year or so of trying. What ive noticed is that the auto generated street view image of the business is showing a row of garages round the back of the building, rather than the building entrance. Is there a way i can update the auto generated street view images of the business without risking the google places ranking / need to submit a move of address. Sat in a York Based Office but I get a Google Lincoln local listing :-(
Buongiorno from 27 degrees C Wetherby UK 🙂 Imagine this scenario... I'm sat in a York Based HQ law office and Google term Langleys and the Local listing is for Lincoln is rendered 😞 The lincoln office is the smaller sister site 75 miles south of where I'm sitting as illustrated here appears (this is wrong) -

I was just doing a bit of detective work on a competitors website and noticed they had employed the services of an SEO company. Anyway, i went on this SEO companies website and discovered they offer a service called "Google places". Now I have an idea what google places is (my company is registered with it) but how are SEOs using Google places as a method for SEO? And how can I copy this service to do this for my own website?

Has anyone created a top (Insert # Here) list of local business listing sites?
Has anyone created a top (Insert # Here) list of local business listing sites we should manually submit to? I have around 20 or so but I was wondering if someone could give me a list to cross reference. I have quite a few local business that I work with and I want to make sure I'm hitting all of the main local listings. I also spend time searching for niche listing sites too for each client, so if you have any suggestions on easier ways to find these as well, I'm game. If you have created a list and its out in the wild somewhere I will be happy to link to it from my site. I'm always open to giving some LL to helpful people. Who's up for building a tool that will search through X number of local directories and report back to you if you are listed or not. Why does google places keep deleting the categories i set?
I have probably set them for each of my storage locations over 20 times now. They stick for a week, only to find them have all been deleted once again. Also, why are my competitors able to choose custom categories, where as I am not?
