Proportion of branded keywords vs targeted keywords in anchor text distribution

Hello,
I have a question about the proportion (in %) of branded keywords vs targeted keywords in the anchor text distribution of a website.
Suppose if I have a website with 3 targeted keywords and 2 branded keywords in the anchor text distribution that looks like this:
1 main targeted keyword 20%
2 targeted keyword 15 %
3 targeted keyword 15 %
4 branded keyword 10 %
5 branded keyword 5 %
6 more keywords 35%
The question is: What would be the best distribution in percentages to aim for the main and other keywords?
Should the branded keyword % increase and (main) targeted decrease? Or something else?
(I have "Opensite Explorer" and Cognitive SEO" as tools to measure.)

I would certainly look at having more brand term anchors than commercial ones so I would start at greater than 50%.

This is the anchor text distribution of my best competitor. (So I have some work to do.)I understand that there is no magic number. But does someone have a "magic avarage"? Should it be more then 40%?

That looks like a very unnatural link profile to me. I assume you are talking about commercial term anchors when you mention 'targeted keywords'? If so then you would certainly need to build a much larger proportion of brand anchors for your links.
There is no magic number when talking about percentages of commercial to brand anchors. It varies between countries and industries. However, I can certainly say that only 15% brand anchors is way too low. To find the best ratio may take a bit of experimentation.

15-20 images on a page / Alt Tag them or not with the keyword phrase?
I have a site that easily has 15-20 images per product page, giving the users ideas of what they can do with the product design. All of them have an alt tag with the keyword phrase in it. There is also an H1, H2, sometimes an H3, body copy with the keyword phrase 1-3 times, bold when it seems like a good time to emphasize it. Just in the images alone, we've exceeded the recommended 15 keyword phrases on a page. Recommendation: Remove instances of the targeted keyword(s) from the document text of this page to bring it below 15 What's the recommendation for the image alt tags? We'd like the images to show up in Google Images, so they should have the tag, right? What's the right way to handle this for SEO purposes? Someone's suggested naming 1/2 of the images one keyword phrase, and the other 1/2 an altogether different one, not searched nearly as often as the primary keyword phrase.

Different Report Branding for each campaign
Quick Q: Do Pro Plus/Elite memberships allow you to setup different report branding for each campaign? Say for example I wanted one campaign to be branded with the logos of an agency I was doing work for and another to have my logos on. Whats the best way to research website relevant keywords
I wanted to know the general practices SEO marketers use when initially researching and revisiting relevant keywords for a website. I use this process Brain storm a list of keywords, between me and the client Check out competitors websites & SERP's look at Google adwords traffic analyser ( mostly as a point of reference and for increased ideas) How do others do it? what process do you find works - i'm based in the Uk would be great to get a UK perspective. Obviously you can't optimise for all keywords in your list how best is it to decide on the best value or less competitive keywords? I struggle to get stats for local keywords( not enough search data) - most my clients are local businesses and have limited surrounding service areas. thanks

How Long For New Keyword Rank Data?
I have a PRO account and added the initial keywords and got the immediate rankings for those. Then I added new keywords and those have not been updated. How long do I have to wait to get Keyword Ranking data on those keywords. I know it says they are updated every Friday, but does that mean I have to wait until next Friday for my first run of data on new keywords?? I ask because I have to present to a client before then and I require the data for that meeting. Any insight is appreciated.
