Social bookmarks, directory listings and forum posts from an outsourcer are probably not good links. Good links are links you get editorially - guest blogs, linkbait, content marketing, high quality directories, etc. Good links are a lot harder to get than posting a bookmark or submitting to a directory. Don't get discouraged, though - there are a lot of good resources that can help you.
Here are a few resources that come to mind:

Keyword domain names mean very little. What means everything is your actual company name and how trendy the name sounds and how easy it is to remember. Some of the best ranking companies in certain market segments don't have keywords but they are always #1 in every keyword search. Think about zappos.com which is the worlds largest online shoe store and they do over 1 billion in sales a year. No keywords in the name there but its short sweet and people like it.
Now that doesn't mean not do it. Rather it means don't let this be your focus. A company IMO needs a quality name and slogan behind that name to show what they are about. We operate several websites and some that use keywords and some that don't. Ironically the ones that don't often dominate. If you have a good back links, social media marketing and really good quality content, then your probably going to rank well. Its the cookie cutter websites that often have a hard time as they don't have unique content to go anywhere. Good luck and I hope that helps.

Best way to contact webmasters for link building
So I have my list of domains and contact information for link building. What is the best approach to contact webmasters to link build? Is there any standard way to ask them to add my link on their page? Does anyone have a generic boilerplate email?

Do industry Forums really help build links?
I've read that one way to build some links to your site is to contribute to a industry specific forum that is popular and pretty active. I've started doing this for about 2 months now. This particular forum allows your signature to include your websites name. When I look for links with the Seomoz tools and the new Bing tools I never see this forum appear(showing links to my site). So my question is should I continue to answer questions on this forum or is it a waste of time? And does this usually take a long time i.e lie years? Thanks, Cesar

Link building for eCommerce
I have an engraving site where I am looking to increase traffic/ sales. We do local engraving services and sell engraved products via eCommerce. Perfectindesign.com It seems to me that locally I can't compete since most search terms are washed over with every local directory in and around the city that are selling there memberships. So I thought I could compete nationally via the 200 products we carry. I have used site explorer to go through my competitors links. My findings show that other then their twitter accounts and dmoz listing most everything else are paid links and lots of them. Keeping in mind I have 45 root domains with 411 links to my site. Three competitors links data. I probably shouldn't name them right? competitor #1 1k root with 13.9k links competitor # 2 147 root with 16k links competitor # 3 427 root with 28k Should I just start buying these links that range from $10-50 per link or is this a waste of time? Are these truly my competitors or am I comparing my tiny site to the major leagues?

Build Links with Bloggers
Hi! A few days ago, someone asked about how to ask links from bloggers and we got good answers, specially from Egol. But, I do want to add to that question: after conducting research on each blogger and make sure they have good quality content, how would you factor in their page rank, visitors, page view and social media info? if they don't have much traffic, with PR3 (we are PR4), which means we can't count on too much traffic from them, but, will backlink from such places deemed as quality link by Google? I do understand the higher number in PR and traffic is better, but, in our case, they don't come by often. Is it still worthwhile to do the lower sites?

Building Links
Hi everyone, I am new to SEO and in the process of building links the clean way. Any suggestions on how exactly I can find websites that are linking out to quality websites already? I went thru most of my competitors link building strategy - and 90% of their links are done either thru link exchange or paid links. So looking at my competitors strategy does not really help. So I need to find websites/blogs/forums that are ready to link to me if I can show them some useful content. How do I find these websites first? Please help! Cheers! Arjun
