My Images Aren't Indexed By Goolge
-
My site is indexed by google, and there hasn't really been much of a problem with my content, but now I am noticing that none of our images are coming up in the images searches of google. I mean none.
I have even typed in the alt text of the image verbatim and nothing shows up.
I use wordpress if this helps anyone. Any advice would be awesome, Thanks a lot.

I see that. Thanks. Still though, thats only about 12 images, and the rest are videos, we have something like 400 images on the site.

I'm seeing your images show up in my Google Image search:
Looks like your images are getting indexed.
In fact, even when doing a search for "yard cleaned of wood" I see one of your images:
Perhaps there's no issue after all :).

I have alt titles, descriptions, captions, the whole nine. And the images aren't showing up at all.

You need to give your site address
-
Important items to get images indexed:
1. Al text with the keywords
2. Image file name with the descriptive text
3. Image site map
For better user experience:
1. Good quality photos
2. Lossless compression
3. Declaring width and height
4. Surrounding text or caption

Since you said you are using Wordpress, try implementing http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-image-sitemap/ or another similar plugin. Once you do that, check in Webmaster Console how many images are indexed. You might also want to try doing a site:yourdomain.com search at images.google.com My guess is your images are indexed, but not ranking.
-
Also - I have noticed that Google+ Local is showing EXIF data for images... I suppose that means that Google is reading it so I have started adding titles, comments etc... to the image properties (not in the img tag but in the image). I have only started testing this but it could help as well.

In addition to alt text,, make sure the image file name contains your keywords.

I thought this was a good article about getting images indexed in Google - maybe it will help you: http://www.masternewmedia.org/how-to-get-your-images-indexed-by-google-image-search/

We recently updated a large guide that takes the place of the original. The original has some nice organic traffic to it and I don't want to risk losing it. Should I 301 redirect to the new version, or update all the info directly on the original page?
We don't have a lot of content that garners much non-branded organic, so this is something I don't want to risk losing. We do not have a whole lot of external links into the page either.

Single Page on my client's website is not crawling and indexing new changes. What could be the possible reason?
I made several changes on client's website on different pages, changed titles, add content on few pages, moved blog from subdomain to sub directory. Everything is crawled but there is one page on the website (not part of the blog) that isn't getting crawled in Google and picking up changes. The last crawl of the website is 2 days back whereas that page was last crawled on 30th sep. I just wanted to know the possible reasons and has anyone encountered this before?

Moz Crawl Shows Duplicate Content Which Doesn't Seem To Appear In Google?
Morning All, First post, be gentle! So I had Moz crawl our website with 2500 high priority issues of duplicate content, not good. However if I just do a simple site:www.myurl.com in Google, I cannot see these duplicate pages....very odd. Here is an example....

http://goo.gl/dcAqdU So the same page has a different URL, Moz brings this up as an issue, I would agree with that. However if I google both URL's in Google, they will both bring up the same page but with the original URL of http://goo.gl/zDzI7j ...in other words, two different URL's bring up the same indexed page in Google....weird I thought about using a wildcard in the robots.txt to disallow these duplicate pages with poor URL's....something like.... Disallow: /*display.php?product_id However, I read various posts that it might not help our issues? Don't want to make things worse. On another note, my colleague paid for a "SEO service" and they just dumped 1000's of back-links to our website, of course that's come back to bite us in the behind. Anyone have any recommendations for a good service to remove these back-links? Thanks in advance!!0 -
If I put 'keyword/url' combination to 'stop run weekly', will it dissapear from the summary page in the on-page grader?
The summary page of the on-page grader chooses the keyword and url combination itself. Now if I choose another combination, I would like the former to dissapear from the summary page. The only option is 'stop running weekly'. But will it disappear from the list also?

What's the point of my blog?
My website, www.toplinecomms.com has a reasonably good blog that gets quite good interaction and sharing. I introduced the blog at the start of 2013 because the general sentiment from all the SEO books and articles I had read was that a good blog could be invaluable to a search marketing campaign. The posts on the blog are keyword optimised and they get great shares and social engagement. However, I have noticed that the blog is stealing my services' pages' thunder! There are some keywords that I am keen for our services pages to rank for, but the blog is beating them to it! So my question is: How should I be using my blog to get my services pages to rank higher?

do you think that the use of a single 1.8Mb background image sitewide could have a big negative impact and make a website disappear from SERPS? thank you0
