Number of links shown in history report are going down?
-
I'm looking at the link history for my site and 3 competitors I am tracking and for all sites External followed links have dropped by about 40% over the last 2 months.
Has anyone else seen this with their sites? What would be possible reasons for this?
Thanks,
Markus -
It could also be related to the size of our index. Since everything has dropped, I'd say it's likely. We're working on pushing out OSE updates faster, but to do so, we need to crawl fewer pages. The last couple of crawls have been smaller than what we had in late spring.

Hi Tom,
Thank you for your response.
How can I check this?

Have you checked these links? Are they still there?

Specific external links
So...we have an A+ rating with the BBB and have for some time. We have a link from their page. We also use sites like pricegrabber and reseller rankings and have links from those. What I can't figure out is why links from the BBB and Pricegrabber don't even show up in open site explorer but the reseller ratings links are everywhere. The BBB one is easily the oldest and the other two are roughly the same age (i.e. at least a couple years old.)

Too many on-page links
I received a warning in my most recent report for too many on-page links for the following page: http://www.fateyes.com/blog/. I can't figure out why this would be. I am counting between 60-70 including all pull downs, "read more's", archive, category and a few additional misc. links. Any ideas or suggestions on this? Or what I might do to rectify? Perhaps it's just an SEOmoz report blip... We currently don't have the post list rolling to additional pages so it's kind of passively set up to be endless, but it's in the works.

Competitive Link Finder
Hi, just wondering if I am the only one who is not having much luck lately using the Competitive Link Finder . In the past it has worked pretty well. But as of the past week or so, it has only returned on link. I know there are many of them which should be found. Anyway, just curious if I am solo with this issue.

Cleaning up link profile
I've recently been trying to tidy up my link profile. We have been link building for a number of years and I decided to check it out and see how good our profile looks. I used OSE to give me a report of all external links pointing to pages on my www sub-domain. The results are scary! I have hundreds of links point to my site that originate from URLs such as the following url which attempts to start a download, use caution!!! <colgroup><col width="768"></colgroup>

Also, many have meaningful page titles (as opposed to random characters) and nicely formed anchor text. What I'd like to know is; Are these links having a detrimental effect on my SERPs? How does OSE find them since its a URL to a download? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks for your time. Regards Aran <colgroup><col width="794"></colgroup>0 -
Moz Toolbar Analyzer - Links
On the moz toolbar there is an Analyze tool. The third tab is for viewing Page Attributes. That page contains a section called On Page Links. I can see the External Link count, but I need to drill down further to look at these external links. I have viewed a page and don't see the external links this tool is seeing. I have searched the page, the source code, and used other tools on the page. The numbers don't match up. Is there a tool which lists all the external links on a given page?

Tracking Label Group History
In the campaign manager, is there a way to track trends in the average ranking of a labelled group? We divide our keywords into aggregate buckets which we maintain on week-to-week basis and we're more interested in how we're doing for each bucket as opposed to individual keywords (which fall in and out of buckets over time) If this isn't possible - is it part of the product roadmap? Thanks
