"Noindex" the Landingpage of a Linkbait or not?
-
Hey SeoMozzers,
I'm wondering if it is recommendable to use the meta-tag "noindex" for the landingpage of a linkbait, or not. Do you have any considerations, experiences, opinions regarding that question?
Thank you and best regards!

I wouldn't just go ahead an do it without looking into it further, maybe waiting for more comments on here to weigh it up. It sounds counter-intuitive to me.

OK, so you don't want your linkbait page to displace your sales pages in the rankings.
Personally, I would just try to adjust the optimization of the linkbait page so it ranks for keywords other than my primary money keywords. But I suppose noindex, follow would work as well.

For example because I don't want the landigpage to become one of the most important sites of my project, that gets the best rankings due to the high number of backlinks. I've recently seen some major linkbaits using the "noindex"-Tag on their landingpages, so I thought maybe there exist some other aspects why it would be recommendable I didn't think of yet..

Why would you want to noindex your linkbait?

Feeling "vision limited" in the linkbuilding process
Hi there! My client has a web about kitesurfing (he offers a bilingual kitesurf camp) and after thinking about linkbuilding actions I've come into conclusion that the only effective way of generating backlinks is make the sharing NATURAL via high quality CONTENT creation and distributing it through different digital channels as some of you told me before. The problem is that the website is much 1.0 (static) rather than 2.0 (there's no blog and there's neither time nor resources to mantain it). Therefore I feel I bit limited in the process. Does anyone share my statament? Any advice? Thanks in advance

"Bad" backlinks
Hello dear community, I am new here and quite new to SEO. Perhaps someone could give me a hint on a following question: Which tools can help me to track "bad" baclinks, e. g. links which would rather downgrade my SEO performance?

Does using "pring2web" hurt SEO?
I've never really seen this before but one of my clients has 4000+ links from Print2Web. Their rankings are falling back a bit but I'm wondering if this is part of the problem. They don't seem to say their service is about SEO so I'm not so sure this is counted as spam or not. The main concern is that the next closest number of links from one site is only 97. Has anyone heard of this service? Can someone tell me from experience if using this service has hurt SEO efforts? Thanks!

Link Location: In main page or inner "Link" page?
My question is what´s best of Link Building: have it in main page or in internal Link Pages. I have the problem that have to reduce the number of outgoing links in my mainpage to rank better, but do not want to miss any linkjuice. How Linking in Main Page or Internal Pages affects SERP for your website? And should they be Follow or not Follow? Thanks in advance Maria Jesus

Link value of :"
Very recently linkedin changed the way they link. The links in the profile are no longer "nofollow" the new links are like this: <a href="[/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Estramark%2Enl%2F&urlhash=dWm-](view-source:http://www.linkedin.com/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Estramark%2Enl%2F&urlhash=dWm-)" target="_blank" title="New window will open" name="overviewsite"> (http://www.linkedin.com/redirect?url=http://www.stramark.nl/&urlhash=dWm-) Question: What impact does this redirect have for the linkvalue of a link from linkedin. Is there a cost per acuqistion figure I can quote that if I hire an agency to link build that we can guarantee a level of increased traffic from Google?
I am looking to justify to a pubilsher the cost outlay to hire an agency to do white hat link building for me as we do not have time. (the site is fully optimised but we lack the inbound links our competitors have) - is there a way I can explain in terms of numbers ie page impressions that if we build for eg 10k high quality anchor text links into our site we will get x thousand more page impressions as our rankings in the search engines will increase? Just need a justification before the budget is allocated.

Are "Content Farms" still good for backlinking in articles?
Out of morbid curiosity, are "Content Farms" still a good source to use for backlinking within articles that you share? I have yet to see some results to base an answer off of for myself. Some co-workers are wanting to utilize sites like Suite101, ArticlesBase, etc for sharing articles and gaining the benefit of getting some backlinks from these sites. Is this still a good tactic to utilize? My research is telling me no since the Panda Update... Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks!
