CcTLD and duplicate content

Hello people, I would like some help with this question...
I am building 2 websites www.domain.com.ec and www.domain.com , both on the same languages, and same content, but the domain.com.ec will show a different price for local ecommerce and focus to target Ecuador... the www.domain.com will sell on all the other spanish languages countries with a fob price...
So my question ... is there any way to fail into the duplicate content on the google eyes?
What could be the best way to do it?
Using the multistore option, with different cctld could change anything?

Ecuador, as Mexico, offer both .ec and .com.ec (also Spain does it).
So you can choose one of the two. What's sure is that both will be geotargeting Ecuador.

the .ec stands for ecuador. You can also register that. But .com.ec is also a possibility but it just uses 2 steps (.com) for international and .ec for geotargeting. Maybe using mysitename.ec works better for geotargeting.

Thankyou so much by the help, but there was something that I did not undersntand so well... mysitename.com.ec is not a ecuadorian domain name when the .com.ec appears on website address?

If you use the hreflang, specifing that the first site URLs are meant to be shown in Google.com.ec and all the others to every other spanish speaking Googles, you should not have problem for the duplicated content (which, actually it is not, having the prices in different currencies). The hreflang has been adopted by Google explicitly for those kind of situations (http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=189077).
Said that, it may exists still a tiny risk that both domain will be shown in google.com.ec, because you are targeting with it all the spanish Googles (included Ecuador, theorically)... but that should be really a sort of hiccup of the hreflang use.
By the way, why aren't you using an ecuadorian domain name for the first site? That would give it more strength in term of geotargeting.

Hi Everyone, I have a client that has two sites (example.com & example.co.uk) each have the same English content, but no hreflang or rel="canonical" tags in place. Would this be interpreted as duplicate content? They haven't changed the copy to speak to specific regions, but have tried targeting the UK with a ccTLD. I've taken a look at some other comparable question on MOZ like this post - > https://moz.com/community/q/international-hreflang-will-this-handle-duplicate-content where one of the answers says **"If no translation is happening within a geo-targeted site, HREFLANG is not necessary." **If hreflang tags are not necessary, then would I need rel="canonical" to avoid duplicate content? Duplicate content across English-speaking ccTLDs
Morning, If a brand offering pretty the same products/services has 4 English-speaking ccTLDs (.com, .co.uk, .com.au and .co.nz), what are the best practices when thinking about SEO and content? In an ideal world, all content should be totally unique, but when the products/services offered across every ccTLD are the same, this may prove tricky. Am I right in thinking that duplicate content across ccTLDs is tolerated by Google as they know you're targeting specific countries? Cheers!

Duplicate content on .co.uk and .com TLDs with different domain authority
What's the best approach to take for a site that has identical content on the .co.uk and .com versions of the root domain? The .co.uk version has a significantly higher domain authority (54 vs 32 according to Open Site Explorer - see attached screenshot). But it's an international company with its largest customer base in North America and customers in over 60 countries. The company does not intend to localize content. My initial thought before seeing the domain authority was to 301 redirect the .co.uk to the .com domain to consolidate all the link equity under one international TLD. However, I wondered if the higher domain authority for .co.uk would be passed on if we did this. I figured that a non-UK audience would be more likely to trust a .com site. I still think 301 redirecting .co.uk to .com might be the best strategy in the long term. But is there likely to be a dip in rankings and organic search volume in the short term until .co.uk is replaced in the index by .com? I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this. CbVnfSO.png

Is International Geotargeting with Duplicate Content Effective?
A company located in Canada is currently targeting Canada through the geotargeting setting in Google Webmaster Tools. Google.ca rankings are good, but Google.com rankings are not. The company would like to gain more traction for US people using google.com. The idea on the table is to set up a subfolder www.domain.com/us/ and use WMT to designate this version for the US. Here's the kicker: the content is exactly the same. Will Google consider the US version duplicate content? Is this an effective way to target US and Canada at the same time? Is it better to forget a duplicate US site altogether and use the "unlisted" setting in WMT?

Looking for content writers for multi-language SEO
Hi All, I'm currently doing a lot of work for a UK client who has multiple sites outside the UK (all part of the same business). We're currently discussing the option of us handling all of his SEO for his German, French, Spanish and Italian sites too, but we only have access to one person in the office who can speak French and Spanish. They're currently booked up on other jobs that we can't really move them off, so I'm looking for options of outsourcing some of the content writing. My question is, does anyone know of any high quality content writing services that have writers available to write for the countries languages above? We're going to focus initially on their on-site strategy and building up their high quality content. At the moment, they don't have much relevant content on their website, so we're going to initially look at this. Moving forward, we'll be looking at their off-site strategy and trying to find areas to submit high quality articles, look at guest blogging and PR opportunities. Any tips anyone has on this side (in terms of outsourcing to native speakers) would be quite useful too! Many thanks,

Subdomain vs subdomain with ccTLD
Hi, We are about to launch a subdomain and I am not sure about which subdomain will benefit us the most: location.brand.com location.brand.co.uk Before I continue I must point out that unfortunately subfolders are not an option (sorry, hard to explain). Things to consider: Brand.com is a global site with very high domain authority, DA = 95+ Brand.co.uk has no content and simply redirects to brand.com Our product is hotels so local search is important and the local (national) market accounts for a good majority of the market. According to the following post if we were to go for location.brand.com we would benefit from ‘some’ amount of inherited domain authority but would loose out on Geo target bonus. If we went for location.brand.co.uk we would benefit significantly from Geo target bonus but would loose out completely on inherited domain authority http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/folders-vs-subdomains-vs-cctld-in-international-seo-an-overview I was more inclined to go for location.brand.co.uk as our SEO agency advised that we will not benefit from the domain authority as we will be considered a new domain.
