To many links on page and penguin
-
Could to many links on to many pages be a factor that the penguin update would effect your site. I know this is a broad question , but I am curious what people think.

Generally keep your eyes open for sitewide links, keyword-rich commercial anchor text, out-of-context links (like a link for laundry soap on an auto blog) and anything that you couldn't defend to Matt Cutts.

Thank you for the Link ! Mr.Cyrus ! I have decreased the Links, but what is heavily optimized one ?

These are all links to pages on my site, not external
-
Cesar,
I don't think that it would hurt your site but minimizing your on page links could help your site's SEO performance. For example, if page x was a PR5 and it had only 3 links to internal pages on your site it will be passing much more value to these three pages than if page x was a PR5 and had 40 links pointing to different internal pages.
My suggestion is to have a focused SEO strategy with focused keywords that you are targeting.
Hopefully this helps.

Hi Cesar,
Could be, yes. But it's not the number of links on the number of pages, but rather the quality & nature of those links and pages that matter more.
If it's lot's of low quality, exact match anchor text on lots of questionable sites, then definitely.
On the other hand, if you're only talking about the sheer number of links on your own pages, I haven't seen any evidence of this causing Penguin problems. On the other hand, if you have a ton of internal, heavily optimized links, it's easy to overdo it. How many links are too many?

My Moz rank and DA, PA increased ! as i said before these are the changes i made for my blog. and thought i want to share this with you ! Let see what other's say !

We're they effected by penguin? Did they notice an improvement in their keywords after these changes?

My Friends, asked me to remove tag widgets, recent post, recent comments. to reduce the number of on-page links.
Even when you noticed, some article has a thumbnail + title + read more = 3 same links to a source in a page.
so if you have 10 recent post - you will have 10*3 Links apart from sidebar links and navigation links. totally 30 links with 20 links duplicate !These are my idea and these are changes i made in my blog. personal opinion. I am also looking for other experts to answer here ! But you can check my blog with the original theme function !

On-page SEO
This is a question for the organic SEO experts, once you added the main keyword that you want to rank for in the homepage title, meta title plus meta description, perhaps once or twice in the text on the homepage. How often do you then write it in the content marketing, say blog posts, we want to rank higher on Google for "SEO agencies Cardiff" however if you mention this in the blog posts too much say once a week, this could lead to over optimisation issues?

Page Title Length
Hi Gurus, I understand that it is a good practice is to use 50-60 characters for the a page title length. Google appends my brand name to the end of each title (15 characters including spaces) it index. Do I need to count what google adds as part of the maximum recommended length? i.e.

is the maximum 50-60 characters + the 15 characters brand name Google adds to the end of the title or 50-60 including the addition? Many thanks!

Does having landing page text beneath the products at the base of the page hinder SEO?
I have a site that is capable of hosting the landing page description either above the products under the H1 or below them at the bottom of the page before the footer. I have always chosen to keep the text "above the fold" as presumably this would be crawled sooner in relation to the rest of the page content than had it been at the bottom. However, this means that I can only really write just a few sentences for each landing page - otherwise the products would shift further down the page - and I don't think this is good from a UX POV. Question: If I move the bulk of my landing page descriptions to the text snippet located underneath the products, could this negatively affect my SEO? Text at the bottom of the page is obviously not significant for users, so is there a chance this could be seen as spam?

Regards to the sites they have one link in the footer on the home page, which is a (do-follow) back to our site. Also, the websites are not in my Niche.

Too many outbound links on a page?
We have a "Clients" page on our site with approximately 125 of our clients listed. We have a link to each client's website, so that's 125 links. I am rethinking this approach. Is there any value to having these outbound links? The SEOmoz PRO analysis tells me I have too many links on this page. I have read that more than 100 links on a page is too many, but that seemed to be referring to internal links. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Landing Pages
Howdy Guys, We currently have around 19 landing pages that are near enough identical for each make of car. The content on each page isn't identical but you can tell its a template. Do you think we should change this and just target models instead of makes. Thanks, Scott

Exstinguishing Page Rank?
Hi Guys, Here is a thought. Google gives more weight to links in content, less to navigation etc.. Therefore if they say give 50% of a pages rank to a link within content and 50% to the the other elements. What happens to the total pagerank from a page if you have not utilized in page content links? (is it lost) If this is the case, and you have a site that does not use content links on every page, are you loosing value (and hard earned) pagerank. Google did mention sometime back about pagerank being exstinguished with the nofollow tag. I would be interested to hear what others think? Cheers Scott
