MOZ TEAM - your system done broke my status as a guru
-
Dear MOZ TEAM - WHY, when I have 2990 moz points, and my profile shows guru, does my profile banner in the Q&A itself now say ASPIRANT? Such a cruel world this has become !
I know I've wanted all along to have you come up with any title other than "guru" because that word is so dreaded in our world. Yet seriously - aspirant? I feel like Roger got drunk one night and decided "let's tease Alan"...
-
If I may make a suggestion stars verse gurus, or we all know SEOMoz has a weakness for unicorns
And now that we know unicorns are real Beyond any shadow of a doubt because of the North Korean media
http://www.today.com/video/today/50054562#50054562
I would propose having unicorns over stars or just how many unicorn horns equal guru or Unicorn master
What do you guys say unicorn master with maybe a photo like the thing shown in this URL. Happy Monday everyone
Sincerely,
Thomas

Roger is very dangerous. He looks so innocent on the outside!
-
I LOVE the notion of stars instead of "guru". But as I am now a lowly aspirant, it will be embarrassing if I only have like a half star or something. NO disrespect to aspirants. We were all lowly at one point.
-
We're trying to address the problems of gurus in the industry Alan!
I've sent off a note to the team and we're looking into this. Longer-term, we are going to replace Guru and Journeyman, as well as replace the labels in Q&A with stars representing the levels, to make things visually easier to understand.

It takes three aspirants to change an SEO lightbulb. One to change the lightbulb and two to explain why it's not probably not important but yet, paradoxically, all the more reason for a long term contract because the situation may change at any time.
-
oh wow. I was hoping you could answer it because I need to know! Isn't the reason I come here so I can get answers to these tough questions?
-
I don't know the answer to that question. But probably a guru would. I wish there were some of them around here.
-
hahaha. The blind wanting to lead the blind. How many aspirants does it take to change an SEO lightbulb?
-
Oh wait. Apparently I am now an aspirant too. Booo.
-
Perhaps Roger has concerns about your experience level Alan. Would you like me to teach you how to do an SEO audit?
-
Thanks for the link! Must have been Roger.
-
It's probably not personal. There is a thread here where are few of us have spotted the same: http://www.seomoz.org/q/bug-with-seomoz-level-display
So either it's a wider bug, or Roger got really drunk and is picking on a bunch of us!

What Moz reports would you suggest running when pitching SEO services to a client?
What do you think the best Moz reports are when presenting SEO services to a client? I need to share reports that show where the opportunity is and where we will be prioritizing our effort. I'd like to hear what you would suggest given your experience presenting SEO to clients. Thanks in advance for your help!

Google results not close to matching MOZ PA and SA - Why?
I'm trying to convince a boss and another client/partner of the value of MOZ, but it's a challenge when Google's results and the MOZ analytics are way off. For example, when I do non-personalized (MOZ toolbar) Google search for "stair lift kansas city" I see some results that make sense. Further down the page I see my prospective client, kclift.com -- it's a new site with poor MOZ grades and almost no backlinks. It has a PA of 1 and a DA of 4. Yet it ranks above a YP site that has a DA of 89, and another site that has a PA of 27 and a DA of 14. What gives? When I used an in-private Bing search for those terms this site didn't display in the 1st 4 pages. That makes sense with these MOZ rankings and the new site. So how does the site get page 1 results on Google for the same terms? (I should note that I've gone to this site a lot, for the client, and done other related searches. I live in Charlotte, which is why I've included Kansas City in the search terms. With this search, I've tried several ways to do a Google search that is truly anonymous, but I'm not sure I've succeeded. I've erased browsing data, used incognito, used other browsers, and used the MOZ non-personalized Google search. All from the same IP though. Does Google track that? If so, how can one do a truly anonymous search on Google?) All suggestions welcome. Thanks! Richard S.

My home page has an "A" rank in Moz and not ranking in Google.
My home page recently dropped from page one in Google to not being ranked for my top keyword. The page has an "A" ranking in MOZ for the keyword. Is there a way to find out the cause. I did have what looked like a duplicate page for a while 3 months ago when a domain was forwarding to my home page incorrectly. Appeared with second domain name instead of primary. Our business has been 95% through internet leads so quite an issue. Is there anyway to find out what is going on.

Not provided traffic in Moz
Hello, I was wondering, if anyone knew how moz handles non provided keywords? is it not displayed, or is it labeled as something else? I know in WMT, it still displays it. Thanks for your help.

Moz has a problem connecting to my GA account. But it hasn't changed..?
A client recently rebuilt there site. Same URL, same Google Analytics code. When I log into my SEOmoz campaign for this site, I get this message: It appears there's a problem with our connection to your Google Analytics account. Please go to your Settings page to update your connection. There is nothing to update however. Nothing should have changed in my settings. Do I need to start over here? Any help is appreciated (I know analytics is working, checked it this morning.....)
