Is there added benefit to having a link profile with backlinks from other countries?

I haven't been able to find any articles to back this up, but I remember hearing that having backlinks from diverse geographic locations is a positive ranking factor.

If you're a global site yes, if local then they probably don't hold as much weight but still count.

If you have a french section of your site and have links from .fr domains that's a good indicating factor as one of many factors.

Does Dofollow links from forumn profiles, blog comments, business directories or article directories etc have any impact?

Hi guys, So looking at my competitors in my city a lot of the people ranking on 2nd, 3rd pages and so forth have little or no quality backlinks, instead, their links are all from business directories, forum profiles and blog comments. I saw google employees saying easy to create links hold very little value and it's easy for the algorithm to distinguish been easy to obtain backlinks and difficult ones. From what I see on my competition backlink profiles, they may not get them to the front page but they do get them to pages, two three and four. I was wondering if creating say 20-30 easy links per week and also focus on obtaining high-quality backlinks. Would they be any penalties for 20-30 easy to make links a week from Google? Cheers

What Would You Consider a Good Backlink Profile?

I know there's no such thing as a perfect profile but when you're building links, do you try to maintain certain ratios such as: dofollow vs. nofollow exact match anchors vs. raw URL anchors vs. random anchors (click here, visit site, etc.) Thanks!

Link Analysis shows no external sites linking to me?

Hi All, I hope you can help. Link Analysis shows no external sites linking to me? but I know for a fact there are. Why is this? I have submitted my site to a few local directories and can see my site is on their site but when I run a Link Analysis it shows that I have no links. Does anyone know why this is? What do you think of getting links from... high quality sites, with many non spammy high trusted links to them....but their traffic has been majorly hit by panda. I suspect perhaps for having too many thin pages. Is persuing links on these sites a good idea or not? I'd welcome opinions.

Do people think it is worth setting up a twylah.com page? Does it have value in adding link juice and content from our tweets?

I have seen the site www.twylah.com which produces a permanent page of your tweets for your fans or search engines to see. Has anyone experimented with this, and does it provide benefits, or is it just another distraction I should stear clear off. Any advice, thoughts or discussion appreciated.

Hi whats the number of backlinks i can create a day, for each keyword that i want to rank for, some say 5-10 or 20-30, other say there is no limited, if you create quality backlnks i know its not about quantity but quality ,but really whats a best answer? Thanks
