GA E-Commerce can't tell the real order source?

I put the e-commerce tracking code on the transaction platform (Regnow) finishing page, but all the orders displayed in GA can't tell the real order source.
Instead, most of orders are from direct(none), and referrals from my site. So this is obviously wrong.
I need the accurate order source such as google organic or google ppc, then I can find which keyword brings me orders.
After some searches, I guess the reason is cookie domain. My GA is set as single domain tracking. And I didn't put any cookie domain code on the Regnow's transaction finishing page.
The codes I put on the page are:
So, suppose my site is "www.example.com". How to make sure I can track the real order source on the Regnow's transaction finishing page? Should I set my GA to track multi top-level domains, and put _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', '']); code on the tracking page? How to set the domain name, "none" or "example.com"??

I've been having similar issues Jonny.
Did you have a page come up in analytics hosted on your third party provider called 'ga_proxy'? This is currently ruining all my page level stats. I have source attribution set up but the odd few trickle through to self-referrals and a lot of visits and pageviews are duplicated.

Thanks for the reply.
After nearly 5 hours work, I have finally solved it out.
First I need to add
_gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'none']);
_gaq.push(['_setAllowLinker', true]);Then I also need add the onclick="_gaq.push(['_link', this.href]); return false;" on the link which point out to the transaction website.
I have tested and it worked, now I can check the keywords which bring me orders.

Hi Jonny,
You gave the answer already yourself. You should extend the current tracking code with cross domain tracking functionalities which the documentation could be found for here. Any links going to your check out/ buying process should be tagged with extra links so cookies are sent to that process.
Hope this helps, good luck! Fixing cross domain tracking could be a pain in the ass sometimes.

How can I distinguish new visitors from existing (customers) in Google Analytics to attain an avg # of new visitor traffic per day/week?
i do marketing for a business software site where we have hundreds of clients and each account has on avg 100 users. I am having a very challenging time to attempting to figure out the real number of unique traffic that our site receives. **(what's creating the issue is that we have thousands of user accounts where our users log-in via our site to access our app/platform). Cross-domain / subdomain tracking in GA?
Hi there, My client has a site website.com and a booking engine, booking.website.com They are currently tracking the main site and the booking subdomain as two separate properties in the same GA account. The issue is we can't see where users are originating on the subdomain property; it's all being counted as referral. My understanding is we need to set up subdomain tracking using Google Tag Manager in order for GA to pass the user data between the two subdomains. This is fine, except for this one line I am reading on Google's guide to cross-domain tracking: Subdomains If you have updated your tracking code to analytics.js, then no additional configuration is required to track subdomains. You can use cross domain tracking to collect data from a primary domain, like www.example.com, and a subdomain, like www.subdomain.example.com, in a single Analytics account property. That last line makes it sound like we should be using cross-domain tracking for this purpose. Are we correct in setting up subdomain tracking and NOT cross-domain tracking to be able to track users across subdomains on the same domain?

Connect AMP to the same website GA property or not

From what we can tell this is because the tracking for AMP will measure things differently than the current analytics.js library. I also think it's related to the GA cookie and how it's set differently for AMP pages.But won't this cause drop-off in user journey information? For example, if a user views an AMP blog article but then clicks to our site from a link within the article. I think we would then track this as two separate users and the pages/visit would be off. On Google Analytics, Pages that were 301 redirected are still being crawled. What's the issue here?
URL that we redirected are being crawled on Google Analytics. Since they dont exist, they have high bounce rates. What can the issue be?

GA visitor number inconsistencies?
Hey Mozzers Recently a client of ours undertook a paid campaign using Taboola and have a vast difference between reported clicks and visitors reported by GA. On further investigation the _utm.gif event is sent to google-analytics.com 50% of the time and stat.g.doubleclick.net the remaining 50% of the time Is this likely to be the cause of the discrepancy and if so is it possible to resolve this without removing the remarketing tag (which seems to be responsible for stats.g.doublelclick.net). Can you get local search numbers/traffic out of Google Analytics?
With Google's new local search I am more curious as to market penetration on keywords that are now localized to my different US cities. I understand that you can separate out Google traffic based on regional Google domains, but I am curious if there is an effective way to separate out searches and keywords based on a my local US Metros? If google cannot do this, any recommendations on products that can? Thanks.
