What happens if use a PR release as a guest blog article on someone else blog as we want to distribute PR as many places as possible?

Putting the same thing all over the place isn't a solid strategy. You risk confusing search engines and ultimately working against yourself.

The two shouldn't be interchangeable, both should be in different formats and writing style.

If you do want to repurpose it, as Clare said, make sure that it is unique and would avoid a duplicate content penalty. Most good blogs won't accept it if its a duplicate of a previous press release.

You need to make sure you don't duplicate content as search engines can dedicate it and it will defeat your efforts.

Repurpose the article so it's different.
