Magento and Analytics - Unique purchases tracking
-
Hi guys,
My ecommerce site is on Magento and in order to integrate it with Google Analytics, I enter my GA account number on the Account Number field in the backend.
What surprises me is that some purchases are not tracked at all. So for the month of may GA shows X unique purchases when Magento shows x+5.
Can this occur because the customer leaves the site before the confirmation page is shown?
Thanks.

Hi Diego,
This usually happens as you say either because the customer doesnt make it to the confirmation page (can happen for example if paypal is not setup to return automatically to the site) or else sometimes in poorly coded payment modules.
First line of attack is to identify which orders and by extension which payment methods are not being recorded. Most times it is a specific payment method that is causing the issue and that will guide you as to where to look to fix it.
Hope that helps!

Strange landing page in Google Analytics
Hello MOZ Community, The website in question is https://x-y.com/ When i looked at the landing pages report in GA , x-y.com is appended at the end of every URL like this. https://x-y.com/x-y.com When i open the above URL in GA interface, it shows page not found. This is obvious as there is no such URL.

Google Analytics reporting traffic for 404 pages
Hi guys, Unique issue with google analytics reporting for one of our sites. GA is reporting sessions for 404 pages (landing pages, organic traffic) e.g. for this page: http://www.milkandlove.com.au/breastfeeding-dresses/index.php the page is currently a 404 page but GA (see screenshot) is reporting organic traffic (to the landing page). Does anyone know any reasons why this is happening? Cheers. http://www.milkandlove.com.au/breastfeeding-dresses/index.php GK0zDzj.jpg

Google Analytics - Dashboard Question
I'm looking to set up a dashboard widget in Google Analytics that does the following but can't : Shows traffic sources in a table as the dimension, and wanting to show goal completions to a specific product page and then only show what the average time spent (by source) on just those product pages. It looks like it's showing the whole session duration for the entire source, but I want to create a secondary filter that is only showing the time spent on those specific pages. Can anyone help - or is this possible? Thanks all!

Disparity between analytics click and WMT clicks.
There's no correlation between click in the 'search queries' report in WMT and analytics. Analytics organic google traffic is over double what is shown in webmaster tools. When I look at the graphs over the last 30 days in each they look similar its just that analytics is showing more traffic than WMT. I've checked I only have the analytics code once on the page. What could be causing this?

Campaign tracking and duplicate content
Hi all, When you set up campaign tracking in Google Analytics you get something like this "?variable=value parameters" in the URL. If you place such a link on your site as an internal link, will it be considered as a different URL and will have its own link value? The question I have is, since Google knows it's a Google link and knows the original URL (by stripping the tags), does it pass link value to the original URL? If not, what can be done to pass link value? Thanks in advance. Henry
