How to add local

When you have reviews of local stores, how can you upload them to Google+ Local (former Google Places) so they will show up on stores/compagnies Google+ Local page?
Like this one for example: https://plus.google.com/116525083278574120722/about?hl=nl. It says 'Revies from internet: schilder-adres.nl'. So schilder-adres.nl somehow imported there reviews to Google+ Local.
How can you add your local reviews?

Oh! Perhaps I misunderstood your original question. Do you mean how does a business directory become a trusted Google source so that Google links to their directory from pages like the one in your example? That's quite a different question, but again, this isn't something the directory could force to happen...it's not a matter of uploading things. Google makes up its own mind as to which directories are authoritative enough to show up as 'reviews from around the web' sources.
I have actually seen your question brought up in the past by other directory owners (see: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!searchin/business/reviews$20from$20around$20the$20web/business/bVaMHAwkWPg/TkIZ3zVCXJ4J) but have never seen Google lay out a method for seeking this type of inclusion. Presumably, the companies that have achieved this are either very dominant, in Google's eyes, or may have some sort of special relationship with Google. Either way, I do not know of any steps you can take to try to seek this type of inclusion. Sorry about that!

Thanks for your anwser. I was thinking about the same.
Thing is, this was only an example of one local business, but I have a client who has thousands of those (real!) reviews about local businesses. In the Netherlands it's a big portal with authority. How can we upload/import those reviews to Google so they can show up at those Local profiles and/or Google Shopping as seller reviews?

You've asked a good question. The 'reviews from around the web' section is something that Google creates - not that business owners create. In the US, sites like citysearch, insiderpages and kudzu show up in this section. Though I am not familiar with Local SEO in the Netherlands, it appears that Schilder Adres is a local business directory that Google trusts enough to include in this section of the Google+ Local page. Thus, if you would like to see a similar resource on your own Google+ Local page, the best thing will be for you to work towards earning reviews on that site in hopes that Google will eventually link to them.
It's smart to do some research on this and look at a variety of your competitors to see which sites Google is most frequently citing. This is a good indication of which websites at which it will be most important for you to earn reviews from your customers. Then, if you are doing some kind of prompt via email or some other point of contact to request that your happy customers consider reviewing you, you can include those trusted sites as suggestions for places the customer might like to leave you a review.

Hello, We own the business BIM Fitness and Performance in Fort Myers, FL. However, when we do a search near us, we are down at the very bottom of the page. Question on following schema for local
Hello I built out a blog for a client and used Yoast Local SEO plugin for WordPress. Here is one of the pages generated for a physical location for the business. http://water-notes.generalplumbingsupply.com/?wpseo_locations=sonora-ca My client who manages a website for the same business built out a locations page and insists that their pages rank better for local search. I think the pages are spammy. Can SEO companies be listed on Google Local, Bing Local, and Yahoo Local?
Can anyone confirm if SEO companies can be listed in the local results for Google, Yahoo, and Bing? I'm asking because when you search for most local terms, it will return their local listings. However, that doesn't appear to be the case when searching for SEO or marketing services - or at least none show up when searching from Houston and I'm pretty sure we have quite a few SEO companies here 😉

Local listing | Virtual office
Hi Miriam (and all Local SEO mozers), I read a couple of your answers where you advice people in different situations not to consider a virtual office when creating their Google Places listing and I would like to know if you would apply the same advice in my case. This is the scenario: I have a client who's in the limousine service in Orlando, he just bought the URL and registered the business with the City using a "virtual office" in Orlando. This virtual office provides him a physical address, local area phone number, 411 listing, a listing for the businesses in that building and an office to have his meetings. This is the part where it gets confusing when I read your answers and I will give you an example. You said here:

My client is going to rent one of those virtual offices, which does have a physical address, on as-needed basis. This office actually does exist. Why would Google have anything against it?
One of the reasons why he chose that location is because he is running the business from home and he does not want the clients to see it.
Another reason is the image he wants to create for his company by having a different address where he can hold meetings and such. The phone number will be either a local land-line or a local cell phone number, in any case, it will be a _local area code phone number. _
So this is where we stand: he dispatches the cars from home (he does not have a garage, the cars stay with the drivers 24 hours) but he meets his clients and business partners at the other address. There is nothing fake about it, he does have a legal business name, a local area code number and a real place where customers come to do business with. Is anyone here a channel partner with Localeze or has subscribed? Any thoughts? http://localeze.com They want a yearly fee and to me this doesn't make sense as all it is doing is sending information to the local listing sites and this should be a one-time deal.

Canadian Local SEO gurus: What are the best citation sources?
I have been trying to gain some position in our local O-pack results and have used whitespark to hunt for citations and aquire as many as possible, but even after 4-5 months google has still not detected many of the citations we have added. What are you favourite citation sources? which ones really help? i.e. what are some quality canadian citation sources?
