What Should You Do About Low-Quality Press Release Syndication Sites Linking to You?

Suppose a company did a press release and linked to you in it. The press release was republished on some high quality sites but also over 50 low quality press release syndication sites from all over the world. Suppose that they used a money keyword anchor text to link to you.
Would this be harmful to your site? What action would you take? Should we disavow these 50 links?

The fact of the matter is that no one fully knows the 250+ signals in the google algorithm or how the 500+ changes a year to the algo affects things. If the press release links are passing any link equity and you decide to disavow them, you're only hurting yourself. Any amount of positive link equity is better than purposely choosing to get nothing from it. If your site, your traffic, your rankings, and other metrics haven't been hurt by the press releases then why disavow them?

Why would disavowing them hurt? They aren't extremely spammy but all they do is republish press releases and have very low Page Authority/Domain Authority (usually 10 or less).

Links in press releases like that don't carry as much weight as they used to (allegedly). In some cases, sites will slap a nofollow on them anyway. Disavowing them could potentially hurt you more than leaving them alone. So unless those 50 sites are extremely spammy sites, I wouldn't worry. Have you seen any big hits to your traffic and/or rankings since the article was syndicated?

Links from sites with iffy link profiles?
So the site http://www.cadenas.de/ appears to have good decent scores from the various Moz ranks, but when I check out the site in OSE there are a lot of really sketchy links that jump out, online pharmacy/drug type links. I should also add that the negative links are seemingly going to a weird blog deep in the site and only appear when I select all links to the root domain in OSE. Everything about the site appears very legitimate except for the link profile which has me nervous. Would you guys pursue a link from this site?

Are these sites spammy links or should I just let it go?
I have a new client who had an old SEO firm that I believe was putting spammy links together for them. The firm has very good links mixed in with them so I am wondering if it even matters. They are ranked 4/10 and have a DA of 47. So it doesn't seem it is really hurting them too badly. Below are some examples of some of the sites I found in the Open SIte Explorer. I wanted to get another opinion on if the below hurt/help/does nothing. I was thinking it hurts more than helps. Spam Links sent to my site.
Hello, I'll try to be concise as I can. I run a coupon codes site.

Today when I loggein in webmaster tools I noticed many new links to my website. And all to a single page. (mydomain.com/stores/companyname).
I tend to think that spam was made by the person who owns that company because he/she used achors related to his bussiness rather than the company name + coupon or company name + discounts. Besides the fact that these links have no value and created automatically by software there are also links from pornographic websites. (bet he paid someone on fiverr for link building and made my website tier 1) I was thinking of 2 options:
1. I remove that page from my website. (mydomain.com/stores/hiscompany) and use disallow. Not sure I can find all the links poiting to that page.
2. Redirect that page mydomain.com/stores/company to hiscompany.com so he can enjoy his spam. I would appreciate if someone can answer me.1 -
Over 47.000 inbound links from one site - can it hurt my rankings?
Im currently having some banner commercials on a relatively large Danish forum. I talked the forum owner into maing the banner "dofollow" so i could get the "juice" from the site, however im in doubt if this is good or bad for my SEO. Webmaster tools is telling me that i now have over 47.000 links from this forum. it seems like a Lot of links considering that i only have external links from about 5 other sites and the fact that my site is quite new. It seems like my site is not ranked very good yet(as mentioned in another question). I hope someone has some input 🙂 Best reguards

Suppose that a trusted website added you to their recommended links page. Do you worry that linking back to them from a page on your site will diminish the value of the original link?

When searching for high quality links, in a niche area such as real estate, does page rank factor into a search or is page / domain authority the most important factor?
After having employed many different methods for finding good link partners I am now finding it more difficult to reach out and identify good quality links for a niche area such as real estate. Does page rank factor into the search much or is it better to focus on page / domain authority as a major factor?

My client's first press release...what to do?
My client is in the clothing, apparel tshirt industry geared toward a specific music icon. They have a few competitors, my spider senses tell me I will be able to get them great SERP standing, and place them in a very competitive position. Their company has been around for a while but has never written a press release. I had them craft a PR on the subject of cotton prices and how it has affected their business. A local paper will pick this up no prob. Where is the best place to go? It is not like it is breaking news, I dont want duplicate content, and I need an experts advice.
