SERP Rankings for Certain Keywords
-
For some of our keywords, we rank on page one in google, but the page is an individual product and not the catelgory page? Any idea why this is happening? Thanks for your Help!
-
This is happening because Google thinks the product is more relevant to the keyword than the category. In short, your products are more optimized. This most likely has to do with more external links with the keywords as anchor text going to your product pages than go to your category pages. But it could be any number of reasons related to SEO, all of them detailed somewhere or other on this website.

Inserting Keywords in Web Pages
Hello! Question: When I add chosen keywords to my site (in urls, title tags, meta description, page content, headers, etc), do I need to put the words on my webpage exactly as they appear in my keyword research? So if I searched "therapist bay area" and I want to include these keywords, for example, must I use those words in that order in a sentence or header on my homepage? Or is it enough to include each word somewhere on the page?

Rankings going down and down. Help!
I just joined a company as an in house seo. When I looked at their rankings I noticed a downward trend. How can I reverse that? I'm currently working on their onsite optimization, but is there anything more that I can do? edit

Does having more products in a category than others help with ranking that page with a particular keyword like iphone cases. We have thousands of products and wondered if it would hellp these all being on the website.

Targeting local keywords and service areas.
Hi, I run a small photo booth rental business in San Francisco, CA that serves the greater Bay Area. I've created different webpages for each location that we serve, ie: "San Francisco Photo Booth", "Oakland Photo Booth", "San Jose Photo Booth", etc.... I'm assuming that for each city, the strongest keyword would be "City-Photo Booth". However, I also want to target different variations of the keyword, such as: San Francisco Photo Booth: -Photo Booth San Francisco -SF Photo Booth -San Francisco Photobooth -San Francisco, CA Photo Booth -etc.... Will adding these keywords onto the same webpage dilute the relevance of my main keyword "San Francisco Photo Booth"? Also, is there any way to place these words within the text of the webpage so that it does not sound akward and unnatural to the reader? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Keyword Stuffing in Alt Tags!
Hello, I have on a main page over 50 images. The first page i want to optimize it for MAINKW (let's say). Now, if i use in the alt tags "MAINKW KW1", "MAINKW KW2", "MAINKW KW3" ... "MAINKW KW50" then Google may say that i stuff the MAINKW in that page? Those images are reprezentative for main Categories and i have direct links to them from the main page with the anchors KW1, KW2...KW50.

Keyword domains
Hello, I am the proprietor of RacquetSource.com, Is there any merit to using keyword domains and have them redirect to the site, or a specific page on the site? For Example, the keyword term, Squash Racquets, if I were to purchase a domain name, squash-racquets.com and have it redirect to http://www.racquetsource.com/squash-racquets-s/95.htm will this effect positively to my search ranking of the keyword term Squash Racquets? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Geoff

Is there a report in SEOMoz that will show me what keywords each page ranks for on my site?
I would like to find all of the keywords not just the keywords that I specified in the tracking section.
