One brand 5 services. How to optimize?

We have a client that provides 5 different services all under one brand and one site. The challenge is getting good web popularity to each major brand. It looks like this:
Brand ( No real Internet traffic to Brand keywords)
Service A
Service B
Service C
Service D
Service E
All the services are displayed on the home page. The SEOmoz scores are now (in general) as high or higher than the competition in the service keywords, but, of course, we are only ranking on the top for one of the services. It's a local business.
We are just finishing a re-design of the site so that each service has an internal "micro site" within the domain. Each of the services is linked from the home page to its micro sites Anchor page. The anchor page is linked to 2 to 4 other pages all directly related to that services information.
SO my question is, should we continue to work on building the home page popularity, or focus a mix between the Home page (Brand) and the Micro sites Anchor pages. or just go
for popularity of the Internal Anchor pages for the services?

Egol is correct. It is really hard to address your question without a great deal of specifics.
The only general recommendation I can offer is to be sure to cover all the major factors for each page before trying to drill down on your home page.
Let's go back to the MOZ Chevrolet example. For your body shop, I would ensure you are listed in any local directories as Moz Chevrolet Body Shop. I would also work with insurance companies, towing companies, police agencies and anyone else I can think of who is a possible source of customer information and can offer a good link.
You don't want to get caught up tweaking minor details on the main page when you have big opportunities on the other pages.

For this question, generalized advice is meaningless. Too many factors are involved, such as the rankings of your individual pages and the keywords that your homepage competes for.

I guess I could ask this question in a different way.
If we continue to spend 100% of our efforts on the home page popularity ( meaning linking, and all other related SEO type tactics) will we see greater returns on all 5 , (assume all 5 have equal value) than if we spend 100% of our time on the service anchor pages, regardless of the order.

You are the proud owner of MOZ Chevrolet. Your dealership offers:
New Car Sales
Used Car Sales
Auto Repair
Auto Body Shop
Auto Parts
Each of those five separate departments (what you referred to as services) can have their own sections within your site. As you suggested each of these can be micro sites.
The main MOZ Chevrolet page can focus on broader key words or phrases such as "Chevrolet" or "Chicago Chevrolet". Meanwhile your Auto Repair service can focus on "Chevy repairs" and other key words.
If you are the auto repair manager, you can offer your departments page as the home page for your customers. You can run promotions, track statistics and in many respects treat your pages as if they were their own site.
The key factor is how strong are these services? In this example, many dealerships are quite casual about their business. Meanwhile, your body shop manager can be aggressive, seek business, provide higher standards, etc.
In summary, if your services are strong, then they can absolutely support their own pages. If they are weak, and you don't foresee a change, you may opt to focus on the main brand.

Which one is better, a brand new subdomain or a second-level directory with PR 4
Hey, all SEOers! May I ask you a question about subdomain and second-level directory? Our website is about software, so we write many posts about how to use this software solve problems, and then use these posts to get ranks (we don't use the page of software to get ranks). And all the posts we wrote are listed under the second-lever directory, just like: www.xxx.com/support/ . But at this moment our boss want to list all the posts to the subdomain like support.xxx.com. By the way, the second-level directory is a page with PR 4, and the subdomain is brand new, even it doesn't exist now. So here is my question: should we list all the posts to support.xxx.com? If we choose to do like this, this will effect the speed of Google index, and we will take more time to build links for XXX.com and support.XXX.com? Page structure and how to optimize old content
SITE STRUCTURE I am trying to optimize the structure of our site Dreamestatehuahin.com. Getting a visible sitemap of my page make me realized it was not a pyramid as I expected it to be but instead very flat. I Would be happy for some advise on how to structure my site in future aswell how to optimize certain place on the page that i think need a change. 1: structure on posts. Maybe I misunderstand how post works in wordpress or something happen with my theme. When I look at my page sitemap my page is VERY flat because permalinks setting I chose the setting as post name (recommended in most articles). http://www.dreamestatehuahin.com/sample-post What I actually believed was that post name was place after /blog/ like: http://www.dreamestatehuahin.com/blog/sample-post I would be a good idea to do like this right? Should I add some SEO text on the top of my blog page before the actually posts. Or would this be a bad idea due to pagination causing double content? Multiple Sitemaps Vs One Sitemap and Why 500 URLs?
I have a large website with rental listings in 14 markets, listings are added and taken off weekly if not daily. There are hundreds of listings in each market and all have their own landing page with a few pages associated. What is the best process here? I could run one sitemap and make each market's landing page .8 priority in the sitemap or make 14 sitemaps for each market and then have one sitemap for the general and static pages. From there, what would be the better way to structure? Should I keep all the big main landing pages in the general static sitemap or have them be at the top of the market segmented sitemaps? Also, I have over 5,000 urls, what is the best way to generate a sitemap over 500 urls? Is it necessary?

Redirecting One Page of Content on Domain A to Domain B
Let's say I have a nice page of content on Domain A, which is a strong domain. That page has a nice number of links from other websites and ranks on the first page of the SERPs for some good keywords. However, I would like to move that single page of content to Domain B using a 301 redirect. Domain B is a slightly weaker domain, however, it has better assets to monetize the traffic that visits this page of content. I expect that the rankings might slip down a few places but I am hoping that I will at least keep some of the credit for the inbound links from other websites. Has anyone ever done this? Did it work as you expected? Did the content hold its rankings after being moved? Any advice or philosophical opinions on this? Thank you!

Need advice on local search optimization
HI all, I've found myself in a puzzling position and not quite sure which direction to push my current SEO project so if anyone who's done this particular type of SEO can offer some suggestions I'd be eternaly grateful. I am currently working on a project for a Law Firm based in New Jersey. Lets say the town they are in is Garfield. What I really want to try and achieve is see them appearing in the number one spot whenever anyone within Garfield or the immediate area searches for a lawyer relating to the individuals need. E..g searches like "personal injury lawyers", "real estate lawyer". The problem is I can see how I can easily make it to the number one position if people are specific and enter garfield in the search term but in reality they wouldn't be doing that. An additional problem is that peoples ISP's in garfield aren't located in Garfield, in some cases they're as far away as Newark so when they're doing a search for 'real estate lawyer' google is bringing up results for the Newark based firms. It seems using tools like market samurai to look at the traffic and competition is proving useless as searches like the ones I'm doing for local business are so closely tied to the ISP location I don't really know whether to target broad range searches like "Real Estate Lawyer", or to be really specific and include the town name in my page titles, H1 tags etc... I hope I put across my dilemma and someone can help me chose which direction to go in.. Thanks
