Geo-Targeting Content
-
I'm to get some ideas on restructuring existing content for geo-targeting.
Example: Botox Page
Tis is a hypothetical situation -- laser cosmetics clinic in Atlanta trying to rank for Atlanta Botox. The existing content is general information about botox procedures. The problem is editing the content to add Atlanta to the H1 tag and page copy.
I'm wondering if there are some techniques to make the edits flow better? My idea is to add a geo-page for each procedure, but I'm wondering if this might interrupt or confuse users in the navigation funnel.
Your thoughts?
Thanks!

Thanks David.
I'm definitely trying avoid the crappy content. I'm trying to figure out how I could create internal anchor text in the internal links following this approach.

Generally, I would use something like the following:
"Botox Procedures in Atlanta, Georgia" for the H1 or Title tag, make sense? You just need to rewrite the content so that it is written from a geo-targeted area, does that make sense? You can't simpy find and replace to add in geo-targeting, unless you want crappy content.
Rewrite it with geo-targeting in mind. The biggest thing would be a few hyperlinks with the geotargeted anchor text, title tag, and H1 tag and some links.

Content Below the Fold
Hi I wondered what the view is on content below the fold? We have the H1, product listings & then some written content under the products - will Google just ignore this? I can't hide it under a tab or put a lot of content above products - so I'm not sure what the other option is? Thank you

No international targeting option showing in GWT?
Hi for some strange reason for one of our sites the international targeting option to select what country to target in GWT is not showing. Usually it shows up like this: http://s9.postimg.org/bkxkkrafi/screenshot_1672.jpg (this is a different site we have in GWT). But it shows up like this: http://s16.postimg.org/im1ysd5z8/screenshot_1673.jpg With no way to change country targeting. My permission level is set as: Owner and are verified. Any ideas on why its not showing up? Cheers, Chris

Content question about 3 sites targeted at 3 different countries
I am new here, and this is my first question. I was hoping to get help with the following scenario: I am looking to launch 3 sites in 3 different countries, using 3 different domains. For example the.com for USA, the .co.uk for UK , and a slightly different .com for Australia, as I could not purchase .com.au as I am not a registered business in Australia. I am looking to set the Geographic Target on Google Webmaster. So for example, I have set the .com for USA only, with .co.uk I won't need to set anything, and I will set the other Australian .com to Australia. Now, initially the 3 site will be "brochure" websites explaining the service that we offer. I fear that at the beginning they will most likely have almost identical content. However, on the long term I am looking to publish unique content for each site, almost on a weekly basis. So over time they would have different content from each other. These are small sites to begin with. So each site in the "brochure" form will have around 10 pages. Over time it will have 100's of pages. My question or my worry is, will Google look at the fact that I have same content across 3 sites negatively even though they are specifically targeted to different countries? Will it penalise my sites negatively?

What is the best way to allow content to be used on other sites for syndication without taking the chance of duplicate content filters
Cookstr appears to be syndicating content to shape.com and mensfitness.com a) They integrate their data into partner sites with an attribution back to their site and skinned it with the partners look. b) they link the image back to their image hosted on cookstr c) The page does not have microformats or as much data as their own page does so their own page is better SEO. Is this the best strategy or is there something better they could be doing to safely allow others to use our content, we don't want to share the content if we're going to get hit for a duplicate content filter or have another site out rank us with our own data. Thanks for your help in advance! their original content page: http://www.cookstr.com/recipes/sauteacuteed-escarole-with-pancetta their syndicated content pages: http://www.shape.com/healthy-eating/healthy-recipes/recipe/sauteacuteed-escarole-with-pancetta

Press Release and Duplicate Content
Hello folks, We have been using Press Releases to promote our clients business for a couple of years and we have seen great results in referral traffic and SEO wise. Recently one of our clients requested us to publish the PR on their website as well as blast it out using PRWeb and Marketwire. I think that this is not going to be a duplicate content issue for our client's website since I believe that Google can recognize which content has been published first, but I will be more than happy to get some of the Moz community opinions. Thank you
