Duplicate Content- Archives
-
Our site is showing duplicate content for about 20 pages, they are all on the site as regular pages and in the "Archive" section. So the URL is different by one word but all the content is the same, is there a way to fix this and make it to where Google doesn't see it as duplicate content?
Thanks!

It would be good if the original poster could return and confirm (or otherwise) that the site runs on WordPress. I am not sure that you can easily edit the archives pages headers to show the NOINDEX tag other than to edit the WordPress header.php file. The latter could get replaced when WordPress is updated. Certain themes make it easy to add your own custom tags through a configuration menu.

As others have mentioned, the best solution would be to place a robots "NOINDEX" tag in the section of the page.
Some other resources that may help you to understand duplicate content and what to do about it:

Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO.

Sounds like a WordPress site. If so, a plugin such as WordPress SEO by Yoast would have the setting to be unchecked (Taxonomies and XML Sitemaps).

Simplest way is usually to set the pages to NoIndex.

What are some good examples of content marketing done well for clothing online retailers?
Hello, I am working on planning for a redesign of a eCommerce clothing website. Looking for some inspiration on some good examples of clothing companies using their content well. The design does not have to be the best, it can be just very well done use of blog type content or video. Thank you in advance for taking time to respond!

Duplicat Website Content? (UK, Ireland)
Hi, My website is based in Ireland on a .ie domain & now I would like to enter the UK market on a .co.uk Is it ok for me to duplicate my .ie website and provide all the information on a .co.uk OR is this considered duplicate content in terms of Google. (I'm led to believe that your own content on my domain's is not considered duplicate & this is only considered duplicate content when you go from .com to .ie, .co.uk etc). (all content, images, branding are my own).

Content issue
Hi, Quick question; I have set up a micro site in which i was going to take some of the content from my reviews and recipes my customers have posted and have them placed on my other site. The site i currently have is a large site receiving over 200,00 visitors every day. Will this be affected as duplicate content if i was to do this as i do not want to affect my rankings. Any suggestions what i can do to get round this? Cheers

New Content
I am looking to add new content to pages that I currently have on my website. The content on these pages was taken from another provider and my idea is to rewrite the content to make it unique. Because it is duplicate content, these pages don't get much traffic. Should I add the new content to brand new urls or just change the content on these (already indexed urls). The issue has seen these pages contain duplicate content. If the content simply changes, will it recognise these pages as having unique content?
