Are Rich Snippets & Schema part of SEO work?
-
In other words, do those items fall under the category "SEO".

Yoast's plugin for Wordpress is excellent! (and I agree that custom Wordpress theme frameworks should allow SEO modification to be taken over by a dedicated SEO plugin such as Yoast's - if one is activated)
Personally however I think the SEO/SEF banter is a game of semantics - If you think of Search Engine Friendly URLS for example - these can be generated using Yoast's Wordpress SEO tool - so SEF and SEO are pretty much one and the same when it all boils down to it.
One of the things that every SEO worth their salt will do is recommend working toward making the project site Search Engine Friendly by promoting proper use of Schema and other SEF elements as part of their SEO strategy.

Thanks for that. Not trying to lose work lol, was based on this comment from a top SEO dude for WordPress:

Thanks Mark

If it will effect your rankings or your clickthrough rate in the SERPs then it is part of SEO.
Why are you asking this? Are you trying to get out of work?
-
Yes. (Assuming by schema you mean Schema.org rather than the greek word for plan? ;o) As they allow you to show relevance to search engines - ultimately Google et al are definitely in the business of 'trying' to deliver relevant results to their searchers/customers.
See this article for more information - it's a good read.

Need Some Quality Vs. Quantity SEO Advice
We have a gallery here with our main categories of patches. https://www.stadriemblems.com/gallery/ If you click on one, say Fire Patches, you'll be taken to a page of just fire patches. https://www.stadriemblems.com/fire-patches/ But here's the kicker: If you notice of the fire patch page, there are also sub-categories to that. So if you click on say, Fire Rescue, you get taken one level deeper. https://www.stadriemblems.com/fire-patches/fire-rescue-patches/ I'm redoing this entire site (a project over five years overdue), and I'm wondering if it's really worth it to keep these three-level deep sub pages. I originally created them with long tail SEO in mind, making us be the only ones who come up when people search for very specific patches. But it's a big undertaking to redo all of them, and are they really adding any value?

SEO Optimization for Sales Page
Hi, I am new to eCommerce. Traditionally I have run a couple of semi-successful websites relying largely on Adsense revenue and affiliate income. So I have a bit of experience with on page and off page SEO. This time around I am creating a membership site and also sell eBooks as bundles that non members can buy. My question is, should I SEO optimize the sales page for my eBook or use another content page that links to the sales page. For example, if I am selling an ebook on Dog Training and targeting the main KW "Dog Training Tips", should my sales page be optimized for "Dog Training Tips"? The reason I ask is because typically Sales pages do not provide a lot of useful information but are more geared around selling the product. The other option would be to create a helpful information page targeted for "Dog Training Tips" and lead users to my sales page through contextual links, banners, popups (I hate popups), etc. This would be the approach for the other LSI keywords anyways. Any thought would be appreciated.

How Do I Get Rel=Author to Work Via Wordpress SEO by Yoast?
I have read Yoast's tutorial and others on how to get rel=author to work properly on my site (http://injuryattorneyshouston.com). Here are the results I get from the Google Structured Data Testing Tool: "Authorship is working for this webpage." "rel=author markup has successfully established authorship for this webpage." "Publisher markup is verified for this page." All seems well except for this: hatom-feed | hatom-entry: | |

Optimization for allready indexed web without seo before
Hi, I have some questions. I have 2 Joomla web sites who needs seo optimization, but there are allready indexed in Google: 1/ Will rel=canonical fix the problem for duplicated content for allready indexed pages? I have read different solutions but I haven't tested them all. I puted rel=canonical on the first web site that I started to optimize, but Google WMT shows me very small or not at all decreasing of duplicated content. Would it need more time? 2/How can I show search engines to craw and change the cache for a page that is allready indexed faster than 1-2 months? 3/ What is your opinion and experience? With done changes for one website for a low competition keyword /the web site was not optimized for search engines before/ how much time will it take usually for Google to see the changes made and change the ranking for some keyword?

How to best use our blog posts for SEO?
My company recently created a WordPress hosted blog. It is hosted completely separate from our company site. The primary domain for the blog is blog.mydomainname.com, but we immediately created a folder within our company website for www.mydomainname.com/blog that has a reverse proxy to the blog itself. I'm curious though if we should consider taking the content from the blog posts and re-creating that within our company website as well? The blog posts are very good SEO rich content, and we always struggle to find new content to put on our company website as it is already. Would like to get some folks thoughts on this. Thanks!
