G+ profile Authorship
-
We have list of many Authors with their G+ profiles contributing stories for the website. And marked as rel=author for stories generated by them. Though we have few stories where we take multiple author's inputs and mark it into Team profile as an Author.
My basic concern over this is, if i mark my story with authorship as team profile i.e. my website's G+ profile as an Author, would that be considered similar to a person's profile author.
Example :
https://plus.google.com/+cardekho - Our G+ profile marked as Author "CarDekho Team" in our stories.
Queries :
-
Does this company page get considered as author?
-
Would this company profile marked as rel=author help in any ranking benefit as an individual Author profile helps in search results?
-

Currently Google Authorship only supports one author per post as far as SERPs go (http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2013/08/relauthor-frequently-asked-advanced.html) but I would recommend adding bylines for all authors on a post so if/when Google allows for multiple authors you have everyone show up there.
- Does this company page get considered as author?
Technically no. Authorship is meant for individual people whereas Publisher is meant for Brands. However, Publisher may show up withyour Google+ logo if a person who follows you is signed into their Google Plus Profile. You should have set up rel=publisher to identify cardekho as the publisher of the site and whomever is the author should have a byline. If there are multiple authors then each author should have a byline. Google will only support one image in the SERPs however and it will generally be an author.
- Would this company profile marked as rel=author help in any ranking benefit as an individual Author profile helps in search results?
Again this should be a rel=publisher schema markup issue. Having authorship show up in search results does tend to lead to higher click through rates but for pure ranking factor as related to Authorship, I think the jury is still out. I still think domain level metrics are more important then author stats.
-
No, authorship is intended for people, not pages.
I think Google was already working on the possibility to add multiple authors to a single post, which can solve your problem by mentioning each author that contributed to that specific article, but I can't find the article I read about 3 - 5 month ago.

Is Moz really able to track G+ properly
Hi, I have invested a good deal of time building a G+ community, from nothing to 137 (as of today) We post regular good quality mini blogs and images. We interact with communities and link back to our our own blog. We don't sell on it, it 100% user friendly content. I am getting 10 or so shares per post and 20 or so likes 2-3 times week. My questions are this: Why can't Moz track page views or post activities for posts on different communities? With all this work we still not able to fully intergrate G+ into our Moz view of the world Thanks James

Webmaster is showing hundreds of external links from 1 G+ post
A page on our site is registering as having 262 external links coming from two pages on Google+. The page it comes from is for posts related to #weddings, but I can't find the post with our link. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible to Merge a Google+ Page with Google Places/local Page on G+
I have seem to have a problem (well think its a problem!) We have a google+ page for our website/ brand (which is verified) and also seem to have a separate google places G+ page (the one with just two tabs at the top.. Photos and About). When you google our brand, google has added a google+ page link but this links to the places one and not our social g+ page. Is it possible to merge these two pages into one? ps i have added rel="publisher" directing to the main google+ page (not local) on the home page and the local G+ page is not verified. Ben

How can I have mistaken identity Facebook work history removed from uncooperative person's profile?
My client, a cosmetic surgeon in Lynnwood, WA was attacked earlier today on Facebook by the supposed ex-wife of a cosmetic surgeon in Arizona with whom they have no association. The other practice has a name that is close, but there is absolutely no relationship between the two. We promptly removed the comments from my client's wall and images and blocked the person who posted them. Unfortunately she has posted in her work history on her own page that she works for my client's practice and blocking her has not removed my client's name, logo or fb link from her page. This poster's comments are so tragic and bizarre I'm honestly not sure she is a real person, though the doctor she mentions in her posts does appear to have a real practice in AZ. I could not find a way to report to Facebook that she did not in fact work for my client at any time. I have so far had no response from her to my request to remove it from her About page and due to the bizarre nature of the comments, I don't well trust she'll follow through. How can I have this erroneous work history removed from this person's profile page? Facebook FAQ offered no answers. Thank you.

Can no longer access my google + profile
A marketing firm set up my google + profile for my company a year ago. They no longer have the access to the account, and i need to either shut it down, or be able to access it and make some changes. Does anyone know how to delete a google + business profile or gain access to it somehow. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

G+personal or domain account?
I've looked through the forum and I understand that it now considered better to use a personal G+ account rather than a domain based one. I can change this as I haven't actively used by elizconley@homeforbusiness.co.uk yet but want to start doing this. I understand that it is better to set up a personal G+ account and a business page. However I have a couple of questions: 1. which account do I direct the rel=author markup to, my personal G+ account or the business page. At the moment I write many of the posts on HomeforBusiness. 2. When I post from the HomeforBusiness site do I post to the business page or my personal page? Which is considered better for building connections and improved ranking? Thanks, Elizabeth

Why has SEOmoz added G+ code to multiple pages?
Hi, If you look at SEOmoz's Blog pages, you'll see they have added the G+ rel="publisher" code. On http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1708844 Google says: "A rel="publisher" link from the main page of your website to your Google+ page." Is there any benefit to putting this code into the sites template (adding it to every page of the site) when it could be added to just the homepage? Not a criticism, just curious to know how I should implement the code on my own site (concerned that adding it to the site template is a kind-of link out on every page of my site) Cheers FashionLux
