There is no hard and fast rule on maximum number of outbound links a page can/should have or at what at number they begin to lower the value of the page they're on. If all the links on a page are well curated and relevant to the topic of the page or of the site, then having your link on that page too is not going to hurt you. However, as with most things in SEO, there is a "scale" factor,and if all your back links are coming from pages with hundreds or thousands of links, you''re likely to run into problems.
As for the value of such a link--think of the total value that a link from a page can provide as water in a bucket and the more pagerank or authority a page has, the bigger the bucket and the more water is able to fit into it. Now divide that water up by the number of out bound links--the fewer number of links, the more value each passes, the greater the number of links, the less value each one can pass on, until the value becomes so diluted that each one is worth next to nothing.

Links to "boring" pages
Hello Mozzers, EDIT: Is internal linking enough? This question is my head for a long time. Let's say I have a webdesign company and a website (really?). I have a blog and write quality content on a weekly basis. The content is great and people love it, they share it on social networks and other webmasters link to these articles. Now I have one optimized page, that brings me the business. Lets say: mywebsite.com/webdesign-service On this page I only have boring stuff like saying what I am offering and testimonials and stuff. So basically a page no one shares and no one links to. But it's important to rank with the keywords targeted on this site. How do I get to rank this page? A page that doesn't offer value to anybody. Normally, we shouldn't have pages like this, but some companies do boring stuff and creativity doesn't help. Maybe this question is stupid, forgive me but I don't get it. I am thankful for any answers on this!

Hello, Is it bad (in terms of ranking in the SERPS) if i have a link from a page with PA of 18 going to a page with PA of 21? In other words, does it matter if the page containing the link has a lower page authority than the page receiving the link? How useful/ damaging is it to have links repeated on every page ?
Our site is dynamic in nature we have tens of thousands of indexed pages with numerous individual brands pages - all of the brand pages are equally important. We are trying to distribute link juice to those pages as much as possible - so my question is --- Is it smart and or useful or perhaps damaging or spammy to have a space on the bottom of each page throughout our site with links to each and every single brand page ? is this practice considered as duplicate content etc ?

Do links within imbeddable widgets carry link juice?
I'm dipping my toes into infographic design. On of my desired outcomes is to gain links by having other sites embed my graphic. I'm considering using Tableau's interactive data visualization software to do so; thus creating a widget, embedding it on my blog, and including the embed code for others to post. Is it possible to include a juice passing link in such an infographic? I know its possible to include links inside the tableau graphic but not sure if they have straight SEO value. If these links are not juice passing would it be better to go with a simple image link that passes value?

Will building up the page rank of a page you have a inbound link bring any benefit?
Right then here we go You have a link in an article on a well known national newspaper site that points at your website. Is there any benefit of linking to the newspaper article in order to build up the PR of the article page and therefore passing over some link "juice"? Sub questions 1.
