Www no longer redirects
-
Hi there,
A while back I dropped the www from my domain.
Everything redirected ok and I could still access my site using www and it would simply redirect to http://mysite
This no longer seems to be occurring. I don't think I have changed anything?
I don't believe I had anything in my htaccess however I am looking for some assistance in doing so. I've done a bit of reading but am not 100% confident!
If anyone is interested, the url is http://cdkeyprices.com
Thanks

Thanks Wesley, all seems fine now. The redirect worked fine it seems.
Thanks again

Mark, i tried your website and the redirect is working fine. If any of the answers below was helpful to you you should mark it as the right answer to close this question.

Try adding this to .htaccess and see if it works:
RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^cdkeyprices\.com RewriteRule (.*) http://cdkeyprices.com/$1 [R=301,L]
-
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Htaccess redirect, from /year/month to /blog
I am trying to make some redirects so we don't lose that SEO juice. I am trying to move our blog structure from:
On-Page Optimization | | opiates
http://www.domain.com/2015/09/title-of-blog to:
http://www.domain.com/blog/title-of-blog I need to do redirects in htaccess from the old structure to the new structure but I can't seem to get it working properly. Here is what I have thus far.
RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^(.0-9)\/^(.0-9)\$ $1/ [R=301,L]
Any suggestions?0 -
Worth redirecting old blog posts into pages?
I'm working on a site that has some blog posts from 2011 - 2013 ranking on the first page for relevant terms. I'm going through and updating some of the content, internal links, etc., and wanted to know if it's worth redirecting some of these blog posts into new pages (in WordPress). Right now, the blog post URLs are long - exampleURL.com/2011/3/9/blog-post-title/ and the dates show up in the SERPs. I'd like to have the date removed so that the content doesn't look outdated, and I'd also like to have cleaner URLs. In your opinion, is it worth creating new pages and redirecting the old blog posts, or is the benefit of doing this not worth the effort? Thanks!

Redirect www.domain to domain

To redirect or not to redirect...That is the question
We have old product data that is being updated (approx 30k sku's). Most of the old pages have been indexed and drive the majority of our online sales. But, the updated products have different titles, H1's, etc and have been re-formatted for the better in terms of usability. So, should we redirect thousands of pages to the new pages? Will Google be ok with that?...or should we reformat the current url's with the new data? And, if we reformat current url's with new data...the fear is that the on-page elements that the pages are being pick up for will get wiped out, (be it the H1 in some cases or the title or alt tag for another, etc) because it's simply too much to retain them during the import. Is the www and non www isue realy seen by Google as duplicate content?
I realy don't understand how Google could posibly devaluate a link because the site displays the same content with www and without www. I mean did somebody recently saw a devaluation of a domain because of this isue? I somehow can not belive this because it is the standard when geting a new webspace that the new website display the same content with and without www. Is a redirect realy necessary?
