Google automatically generating and verifying duplicate business pages?
-
Was on the phone with Google Support about duplicate, verified pages showing up and they said they're doing a "cleanse" in which an automated system is reviewing existing listings and making decisions as to how those look, which often results in a new page that Google then automatically verifies.
Their Support phone system has been bogged down with people calling in, but I'm not seeing anything when I search about this issue.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Jackson,
Thank you for the further details. They did help. Yes, this issue is being reported in the Google and Your Business Forum. Read this:
Google staffer Jade W. gives instructions regarding what to do.
Let me know if this helps, Jackson.

Hey Miriam,
The problem is for both Google+ for Business and in Google's Places for Business dashboard. The duplicate listings aren't showing up in the SERPs, because Google is deactivating one of the "duplicates."
So, let's say I claimed an unverified Google+ for Business page for A Generic Business. I verify the page, fill out all the info, add photos, etc. and it's live and listed on Google and looks splendid. All the info is correct, confirmed, etc.
Then, say, a week later, I log into my account and there's a red banner across the top of my Google+ for Business dashboard saying that my listing has been marked as a duplicate. A duplicate of what? As always, I searched and only found one, unclaimed listing and that's what I moved into my account and verified.
I called Google and asked what happened, and they said they're doing a "cleanse," in which they're looking over both Google Places for Business listings and Google+ for Business pages and making "automated adjustments."
I've had multiple clients' business pages marked with this red banner, because Google generated and automatically verified a true duplicate of what it thought the page should look like, and then just pushed my listing out.
I hope this explanation helps make a bit more sense.

Hi Jackson,
Can you provide any more detail about what you were trying to correct and what, precisely you are seeing in your dashboard and in the SERPs? What you're describing isn't ringing a clear bell with me, but maybe if you could provide more details, it would. Thanks!

I'm sorry I don't completely understand this question. Do you mean Google+ business pages? Are they showing up duplicate in SERP's and both are verified? I'd like to help, but I'm not sure what the problem is.

Structured data for business listings
If I have a page of 20 local business listings, do I need to provide structured data for each business listing? is that necessary and would it help with SEO? So if I have a page of  Vancouver Brain Injury Lawyers, and list off 20 local law firms that focus on that type of injury, should I have structured data for each law firm that I list?

How can I change my Google Business to be a non local business?
Hey guys, Do you know how to change my Google business account to be a non local business? I want my Google Knowledge Graph to be clean and neat like this. Does it mean that this company doesn't claim the business? Will removing the address from the Google My Business solve it (which I don't know whether we can take down the address)? Thanks

Two businesses - using separate suite numbers
I have a client that has an office in a particular suite (Suite 101) at a local address. They rent the space so they cannot just add another suite number.  They are going to have two websites for two different businesses run from the same location.  They will have separate local phone numbers for each business.  Is it too much of a stretch for them to show one as "Suite 101-A" and the other as "Suite 101-B" for their local pages?  One of the businesses is very new with few citations at this point.  The other has not started up yet, so we have better  control of the citations that will be created. I've seen similar questions posted, but not one that addresses this specific issue. Thanks for any advice!

International customers for local business
Hi I have a vacation rental in France. Â My customers come from the UK/US, France, and Spain and as such i have three domains. www.domain.com (French) en.domain.com (English) es.domain.com (Spanish) I first set up a Google+ page which was tied to my French website and it's descriptive text and KW are in French. Â I subsequently set-up 2 more Google+ pages (English and Spanish, each with their respective domains and language specific KW) for the purpose of showing up in local searches in the UK and Spain, which is starting to working. I'm I going in the right direction? Â is this a crazy idea since they all have the same local address? Thank you for sharing insights regarding how to handle a local business with multilingual customers.

Google Maps: Submitted Feedback Changed Results
I came across something interesting today. So there is a business in one of my clients areas that had submitted and was being listed on google maps for some spammy locations. Â I went in and submitted feedback informing google of bad listings. Â Within 30 minutes or so my results for the same key phrase was different. I decided to see why. Â I went to other browsers on my computer and searched that key phrase and the results went back to how I originally saw them before the feedback submission. Â I then erased my browsers cache and after this the results now showed the original results. Does anybody know what cookies and such get placed in a browser that affect listing results? Sincerely, Garret

Is there a way to see if a Bing Places Listing is verified?
For example, Google has a badge for verified listings. I was wondering if Bing had something similar.
