Google Places Multiple Phone Numbers
-
Hi Guys,
Looking for a advice on having multiple phone numbers. We have dealers who have both a sales phone number and service phone number for the same address. Is it possible to specify this in Google Places so both numbers are displayed in the SERP GP listing as shown below link?
Link - http://tinyurl.com/mto86ts
Or is it possible to even add multiple numbers on the actual GP local page ? http://tinyurl.com/n7r9w3d
Any advice on this?
Seems to be from my initial research, the only way to two numbers is via the description.
Thanks,
Matt -
now that you mention it, it appears that only the primary number is shown on both Google Maps (newest version) and on the Google + Local business profile page.
guess we can only effectively use one now!

Hi Brad,
Thnaks for that.
Do you fine that only one number is displayed though on the SERP results? I.e. are both your tool free and local number displayed or just the local number.

Hi Marketz,
I've not yet had a chance to play with the new Google My Business phone number, but I would expect it would have a place to list an alternate phone number. I wouldn't suggest putting it in your description. If you still have the old Google and Your Business dashboard for the Google+ Local page, there should be a place for an alternate phone number, I believe.
-
you should have the ability to have a primary number and an alternate number for any location. I have a listing for over 900 locations, each with their local number listed as primary and our toll-free number listed as the alternate.
I would recommend having a local number as the primary considering people are typically engaging with you to locate your business on Google+ Local (Google Places) and are more apt to call a local number versus a toll free number that may go to a call center.
Hope this helps!

Google Listing Doesn't Appeare on 3Pack anymore
Hi, One of my GMB listing suddenly stopped ranking in the 3Pack Results. It used to always rank in 1st or 2nd position in the 3Pack results, Suddenly since 24th May it completely Flatlined, I don't know why but It doesn't show up in the results, or when I click see more. It completely vanished for that term locally. My Listing is based in Brisbane, QLD, Australia and it doesn't show up for that term in The Brisbane area. But when the Location info is Australia and not Brisbane, Australia it shows up again. I don't know what is the problem in this case... Any Suggestions will be much appreciated.

Best address to use on Google business listing for youth sports program
Hello, Moz Community! I'm helping a friend with some local marketing for his youth sports program. He trains his kids at a community center and a public park where court times are managed by the city. His address in his Google business listing is currently the community center, but that is shared with multiple businesses including the community center itself. I know he needs an address that is unique to his business, but he lives outside of the city in which his program is located. Our goal is to boost exposure in the city in which his program is located. Since 1) his business address is located outside of the city in which he conducts business and 2) the addresses at which he conducts his business is utilized by multiple businesses including the actual property owner, what options do I we have for an address that Google will recognize as valid and won't cause ranking issues? If there is nothing we can do in the current situation, what are steps we can take to address this issue for his business? Thanks a lot!

Google My Business Question
I work for a large organization with a number of locations. There is a Google My Business listing for us, under our umbrella name, that lists an old address (building we no longer occupy) and says that we are "permanently closed". I believe this is an unverified listing because there is an "own this listing?" link in it. In order to take control of the listing, Google gives us three options: call, text or snail mail. The number is an automated line so calling and texting aren't going to work and snail mail wouldn't work b/c we're no longer in the building. Anyone know how we can take control of this listing so that it doesn't look like we're "permanently closed?"

"Duplicate" on Google Local - Attorney and Business Listing
For our law firm, we have a Google Local listing for the firm (Riddell Law LLC). Google also created a local listing for one of the attorneys (Riddell) (we didn't create it, but are in the process of verifying it). Both listings are at the same address. Moz Local says these are "duplicates" - is that true? Would Google penalize us for this? I am not sure how to fix it - both the individual attorney and the business are in fact at the same address. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!!

Opt out from certain Google properties - what's the downside?
Hi Moz Community! I manage a site where we want to have a support phone number for certain cases, but not for it to be front and centre for all our customers. At the moment, most of our unwanted call volume comes through the number showing up in SERPs due. We haven't included it in any of our listings, but it seems that Google has included it due to its presence on our site. We are now considering using the "Opt out from certain Google properties" tool on Google Webmasters but are concerned that by not playing by Google's rules that we may face some sort of penalty. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/opt-out Does anyone have any experience of using this tool or any thoughts on potential risks to our search rankings? Thank you!

Vanity Google+ URL
Hello, If a vanity Google+ URL has a local town associated with it, will it show up in the local results for that town only and nowhere else? My client is on page 1 for an organic search for specific term + area but not on the local results too e.g. property agent area But if we specifiy property agent and local town (the one on his vanity Google+ URL) he is found on both organic and local listings. We want him to be found on both organic and local for the property agent area search. His website has address details: local town (the one on his Google+ URL), Area, UK So you see, the local town is within an area. Any ideas why this is so? On the local results for the area search, Google lists care homes and other types of businesses etc in the area when there are no other property agents to list- why not list my clients website as it is relevant to that search? Has he narrowed it too much by using the local town in his Google+ URL or is that too simple an explanation? If you could shed any light it would be appreciated. Thanks

Google vs. Google+ Local Rankings - How do they relate
I have a client who ranks #7 in Google+ Local for search term dentist Oxnard CA & Oxnard CA Dentist but for regular Google search results, they are not in the top 50. How is this possible? No penalties in Webmaster tools. I've been working on this client for over a year. All of the other pages on the website are ranking very well but the all elusive dentist Oxnard CA position is 0 How does regular Google search results relate to Google+ Local?
