Hi, we are having some issues on our video site so I don't think we will be able to host them for a while, I think we will be uploading them to YouTube, so is there a tool/software that can help me make video sitemaps for my videos in YouTube?

PS. I think I saw Rand or Danny a while ago in a video taking about a great tool for YouTube sitemaps, but I just can find it.

It isn't YOUTube, but we did cover http://www.wistia.com which allows you to make embeds that point back to your site, automatically creates Video XML Sitemaps for you and generally rocks

Integrate video - only thumbnail?

Hi! If I integrate a video to my website (vimeo or youtube) the pagespeed slows down. Now I integrate my video in wordpress with special plugins. These plugins shows only the thumbnail, only if the user clicks on these thumbnail, the video is loading. So is my pagespeed perfect ... .. buuut now my question: Google loves tables, images, video ... Sees google these thumbnail still as a video or now only as a image? Thanks!

Vimeo Pro, video SEO and rich snippets

Hi All, we are producing product demonstration videos. One major aim with these videos is to help our rankings for these specific product pages and associated keywords... and to get rich snippets displayed on Google results pages against our listing. We have used schema.org markup in the product pages body code along with / next to the embed vimeo video code on the product page in order to hopefully get us rich snippet listing... we used schema.org markup as this seems to be the main current markup for rich snippets we have hosted the video via Vimeo Pro so that it is served quickly and not affected by speed of our hosting server or any possible bandwidth issues on our hosting server and ensure sthat the traffic comes to our site pages rather then Youtube or similar Vimeo Privacy settings for the video have been set so that we have not allowed it to be embed anywhere except for our own domain and the video is not displayed on Vimeo.com to ensure that the video is not duplicated anywhere else... so that this is unique content on our own site for maximum value for our domain We have used the "old code" from Vimeo Pro for embedding the video on our product page rather than the current iframe code as from what i understand Google cant follow very well and doesn't necessarily trust content displayed in iframes. Where to host our videos

We're in process of moving HookahLounge.net to Hookah.org. We're upgrading all the software packages, adding features, etc. One of the things we're going to do is gradually add a lot of video reviews to our site (400+). All the videos are going to be hookah/shisha related of course. Should we host the videos on YouTube and put them on related pages in our website? (We have a hookah wiki section with a different page for every shisha flavors, hookah, etc). or Should we host it on another platform or our own server? SEO. I don't know how where we host the videos affects the ranking of those Wiki pages that the videos would be posted. View count. I think YouTube has a large number of viewers which would mean a lot more people will see our videos. That being said will that be mainly good for brand building? Or will I actually be able to put links on those pages and drive traffic to our site too? Thanks

How to build links with really good S3 hosted video using JW Player

I have a number of really good quality videos that are embedded on my own site. Many are "how to" or "what to do if" type video guides with questions answered by experts. They were professionally shot. So that I could reap the full SEO benefit from the videos, I have them hosted via Amazon S3 and am using an embedded JW Player. We have a video sitemap and, as a result, most of the videos have already been indexed by Google and are showing up in Google video search as residing on our webpage. Now the real problem is how to get some link benefit from them. They should be viable and valuable link bait. My initial thought was to do a PR Web type press release with the video embedded in it. The problem with that is that you are limited to Youtube and Vimeo embedded video which defeats that purpose entirely. PR Newswire has different issues but the end result is the same, I can't embed those videos with them either. As far as I can tell, all I could do with a press release would be to link to the videos. Moreover, I don't even know that press releases would be that valuable in the post penguin world but the hope was that people would share the videos naturally. So, I put it to the experts. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get some link benefit from these videos? Any ideas at all? I am stumped. Any advice would be appreciated.

Video Sitemap, Video Location

I'm a link builder, so some of this stuff on-page stuff is out of my comfort zone. I've got a client who I'm doing a video sitemap for, as well as Schema integration. One of the requirements on the video sitemap is video location. They're hosting all of their videos privately at Vimeo, and embedding them on their website. Is there a URL that Vimeo has for engines, because the primary URL on Vimeo is blocked because of their permissions (private). Any suggestions on a work-around on this? Again, I'm a link builder and out of my comfort zone, so I apologize for the dumb question 🙂

What Tactics Are You Using for Video Marketing?

Hey everybody, I finally started shooting some screen capture videos and it is actually fun! Right now, I am uploading to Youtube and soon, Vimeo. Next, I embed them on a post and share it around a few social sites, Tweet it, and share it on my Facebook Page. I know there are more effective ways and sites for doing this.
