Internal Links Count in Crawl Report
-
My understanding of the 'Internal Links' results in a moz crawl report is that it represents the number of links on the given page that link to other pages on the same site.Assuming this is a correct assumption:
We recently ran a crawl report on www.phase1tech.com. Some of the pages are coming back with a large amount of 'internal links'. These 2 pages for example are showing 800 internal links:
http://www.phase1tech.com/Upcoming-Events
http://www.phase1tech.com/ContactThen there are a number of pages coming back with 705 Internal Links, including:
http://www.phase1tech.com/Dalsa-CameraLink-Cameras
http://www.phase1tech.com/Hitachi-CameraLink-CamerasAt best there are approximately 70-80 links on these pages. Where are these large counts coming from? Is there a means to see what the links being reported on are?
At the same time the 'Too Many On-Page Links' indicates 'No' for some pages with a high number of links, and 'Yes' for pages with a low number of links. For example:
http://www.phase1tech.com/Baumer-SX-Series
Too Many On-Page Links: Yes
Internal Links: 2
What's up with that? -

Hey there! Sorry about the confusion here. I'll start by clarifying Internal Links - they are the number of pages linking to a specific page on the same domain.
Let's take http://www.phase1tech.com/Upcoming-Events and pop it into Open Site Explorer with some filters. We'll "Target" this specific page, with internal only "Link Source(s)" and allow all link types. Now let's have a look: http://screencast.com/t/upxeS1gSNm - This shows us the 800 Internal Links being referred to in the Crawl Test. We see 799 total links detailed below, including the target page itself.
I hope this helps!

Hi!
I would look at your www. and non www redirect
OSE is probably counting all your pages for both www and non www + the blog subdomain.
Plus older pages that aren't there anymore. You might have done a cleanup and removed some old pages. Those might've gotten included in the count as well.

In the Moz Site Crawl, what does "External Links" mean?
I thought I knew what it meant but am finding instances where the value in the column, "Linking Root Domains" is greater than the value in the column, "External Links?" Thanks!

Duplicating a Report to monthly from weekly
Is there a way to duplicate a weekly report and also run it monthly without redesigning it from scratch? I have a great report a client loves but they also want to see it monthly. Thanks! Melinda

Cannot crawl website with redirect intalled on subdomain url
Hi! I want to crawl this website : http://www.car-moderne.ch. I tried a got back the crawl just for that one url (not for all the pages of the website). This single line cvs says that the status of the http://www.car-moderne.ch is 200, but in fact it is a redirect 301 to http://www.car-moderne.ch/fr where the live home page is (actually the Moz bar sees the 301, not the 200 as the single-lined crawl does). How can I proceed in this case (a 301 redirect being installed on the subdomain url) to still be able to have a full-fledged juicy cvs with all the broken links, duplicate content, etc. Thank you for your help! Moz Crawl Showing Duplicate Content But It's Not?!
Unfortunately I can't give out the URL, but here's the deal... I have two URL's which have completely different content on them but are being crawled as duplicate content. Any Idea how that would happen? I'm not seeing any errors in WMT's. Has anyone seen this before? Is the duplicate content reporting based on a % of the page content matching as the same?

On Page reporting Issue
Hi I’ve recently downloaded my onpage analysis report for our site http://www.health2000.co.nz . The column that is titled “Missing data description Tag” says false, which I’m assuming means the meta description is present. However in the column titled “meta _description tag” there is no meta description present (nor is any meta description in the backend of my site. Could someone please explain why this would occur? I look forward to hearing from you Regards Pete

Where to find one off crawl report
Hello, I don't know if I am being a bit daft but I don't seem to be able to find the area where I can request a one off crawl report anymore (rather than setting up a campaign). Can someone let me know where this is now? Thanks!

Why my on-page report card won't improve?
For my page www.homedestination.com/Minneapolis-homes-for-sale.html, Moz ranks the page as an "F" for the keyword "Minneapolis home buyers". All data in the report card is from months ago. using the "Grade my On-Page Optimization" button fails to show any updates - even after months. For example the title is actually "Minneapolis Homes For Sale| buying a Minneapolis home | Homebuyers" while Moz says it is ""Minneapolis Homes For Sale | Home Destination | Jenna Thuening" Moz says the description tag is "Realtor Jenna Theuning helping real estate buyers find Minnetonka homes for sale, owner of Home Destination. CDPE also helps with foreclosure and short sales buying." and "Minneapolis homes for sale, and Minneapolis listing, and Minneapolis upscale real estate, and Minneapolis lakeside properties provided by Home Destination"" when it is actually "Minneapolis homes for sale, and Minneapolis listing, Minneapolis home buyers, and Minneapolis lakeside properties provided by Home Destination." Additionally, my weekly ranking reports seems "stuck" and continues to show many "F" ranked keywords that have been updated for some time. Amy advice on how to see improvements?

How can I add Maps Listings Results to reports
I am trying to modify Moz reports so that I can show the maps results but I cant figure out how. Is this a feature that is not offered or am I blind? Even when exporting full rankings to PDF they don't show up. The issue is that a lot of the SEO work we do has a positive effect on the maps rankings for a particular client. Meanwhile the organic rankings are somewhat stagnant for this client and unless I create it manually there isn't anything I can export from Moz that shows maps results inclusion. Any help would be appreciated, thank you. IGlgIYA.jpg
