If I sell custom sticker products and have similar titles, is it a problem?

We're running a rather new website at www.redrockdecals.com and we sell mainly sticker products. I would just like to clarify on something that is bugging me and I just can't go forward with other products until I know the answers. I'd appreciate the help so much.

We sell for example license plate products for different European countries. I have figured out the best title for the page would be for example "Custom Catalonia License Plate" and the primary keyword in this is Catalonia license plate since that's what actually gets some searches from Google and therefore I have used that without the word "custom" in the product description text. I guess it's a good idea to write totally different description texts for all of these license plate pages so that's what I've been doing. Now the question is - does google accept the fact that I have different product titles like Custom Catalonia License Plate, Custom Germany License Plate etc so just the country name differs on all of these pages? Or should I play around with the titles and word orders also?

There is one part on the product page where we describe for example the temperature ranges and other specifications about the sticker material as you can see here: http://www.redrockdecals.com/custom-slovakia-license-plate Is it ok to copy-paste that text to all of the pages if the short descriptions on top of the product page are different?

At a certain point, it becomes extremely difficult to justify expending time on creating quality unique descriptions for individual products unless you can get enough unique reviews specific to each product page. Because of this, you need to make a decision as to whether you think you can keep them indexed. If you do an outstanding job on every other aspect of your site's SEO, you may be able to, however it's not a sure thing even if you do all that other work.
What may be more beneficial is to noindex the individual flame sticker product pages and focus more energy on building trust / ranking signals focused on their category page. There is no "one answer fits all" scenario unfortunately.
As for your Domain Authority, you'll need to speak with a Moz rep for more clarity, however Domain Authority is based on Moz's proprietary formula for understanding overall quality of the full spectrum of SEO signals. So the better you do across the board in each aspect of SEO, the stronger that score will be.

Thank you so much and sorry for the delayed reply. This information means really a lot for me and I am very happy you are taking your time to help me out.
I am already working on the license plate pages and will see how it goes after I have written unique descriptions for all of them. As I understand it's OK if the titles are like Custom Albania License Plate, Custom United Kingdom License Plate etc if I write totally unique descriptions below the H1 title and use the keyword like "albania license plate" throughout the description twice perhaps.

Any good tips how to optimize or deal with products like this http://www.redrockdecals.com/car-flame-decal-sticker-721 ? The flame decals are actually really similar to each other but they must be presented in a catalog form so I cannot combine them onto a single page with a dropdown or anything like that. And even if I write unique descriptions it's really weird to write totally different titles for them. I wonder if I should just NOINDEX them?

Why is our Domain Authority only 20? Is it because of the overall poor optimization? Should it improve if I have half of the pages optimized in a better way?

I have a preliminary very serious concern about how you've set things up on the site.
Of course, without a full understanding of the entire site, this is JUST preliminary. Yet even at this point, I found issues that say "not likely to get true, sustainable 1st page rankings".

The URLs for these are EXTREMELY over-optimized.
The page Titles, bold text atop the content area, H1 headline, product descriptions, size options, and "tabbed" description and features on these are identical. The ONLY difference is the country name.
If this is an issue across a significant portion of the site, you definitely have a problem.
While search engines do their best to understand similar products are going to have similar descriptions, on scale it's more glaring.
Note how Mat Bennett specifically stated "As long as the whole page doesn't become boilerplate with just the keyword changing you should be OK doing it with the titles." as his concern?
Yeah. There's a reason for that.
So - can you truly justify having one page for every country for your various products? Only if you can come up with ways to add at least SOME uniqueness to every page.
If not, you need to consider a redesign where all the "License Plate Sticker" pages are consolidated into ONE PAGE, with a dropdown menu for people to select their country.
(I don't want to come across as mean-spirited, however it is vital for you to understand the potential roadblocks to success your site has, and since I found that even in a very quick review, I only wonder how many other major crisis type issues the site suffers from)...

Thank you! But how about using two keywords for one product category - for example Aircraft Stickers, Aircraft Graphics? Is it a bad idea or can it be implemented?

1. This should be fine. As long as the whole page doesn't become boilerplate with just the keyword changing you should be OK doing it with the titles.
2. Again, as long as other parts of the page change this should be fine. It's quite a common thing and google is pretty good at understanding the difference.

Product Tags
Opencart allows the use of product tags (please note, these are NOT meta tags) which I believe are used for when customers want to search for a product using the search function. So one of my tags could be ''star wars socks'', and when a customer types this into the search it brings up every product containing the tag for socks. This is all good and well, however, these tags appear on the product page itself, right below the Manufacturer/Brand, and above the price (they created pages but I have canonical links in them so that is a non-issue). Will Google look kindly on this or could it be considered as keyword stuffing? Or will Google know they're for search and ignore them? I just need to know whether or not removing them entirely will be a good or bad idea.

Product Documentation Causing 23-40K issues
One of my biggest hurdles at my company is our Product Documentation library, which houses thousands of pages of publicly accessible and indexed content on old and new versions of our product. Every time a product name changes the URL changes, causing a 404, so I typically have 100s of 404s every few months from this site. It's housed off our main domain. We have 23,000+ Duplicate Pages, 40,000 missing meta descriptions, and 38,000 due to this library. It is not built the same as our main content, with page titles and meta descriptions, so everything is defaulted and duplicate. I'm trying to make a case that this is an issue, especially as we migrate our site next year to a new CMS. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with this issue in the short term and long term? Is it worth asking the owners of the section of content to develop page titles and meta descriptions on 40,000 pieces of content? They do not see the value of SEO and the issues this can cause. It needs to be publicly accessible, but it's not highly ranked content. It's really for customers who want to know more about the product. But I worry it is hurting other parts of our site, with the absurd amount of duplicate content, meta, and page title issues.

URL Structure for Product Pages
Hi Moz Community. I'm in need of some URL structure advice for product pages. We currently have ~4,000+ products and I'm trying to determine whether I need a new URL structure from the previous site owners. There are two current product URL structures that exist in our website: 1.http://www.example.com/bracelets/gold-bracelets/1-1-10-ct-diamond-tw-slip-on-bangle-14k-pink-gold-gh-i1-i2/ (old URL structure)

2. http://www.example.com/gemstone-bracelet-prd-bcy-121189/ (new URL structure) The problem is that half of our products are still in the old structure (no one moved them forward), but at the same time I'm not sure if the new structure is optimized as much as possible. Every single gemstone bracelet, or whatever product will have the same url structure, only being unique with the product number at the end. Would it be better to change everything over to more product specific URLS. I.e. example.com/topaz-gemstone-dangle-bracelet. Thanks for your help!

Duplicate Titles on Wordpress blog pages
Hi, I have an issue where I am getting for duplicate page titles for pages that shouldn't exist. The issue is on the blog index page's (from 0 - 16) and involves the same set of attachment_id for each page, i.e. /blog/page/10/?attachment_id=minack /blog/page/10/?attachment_id=ponyrides /blog/page/11/?attachment_id=minack /blog/page/11/?attachment_id=ponyrides There are 6 attachment_id values (and they are not ID values either) which repeat for every page on the index now what I can't work out is where those 6 links are coming from as on the actual blog index page http://www.bosinver.co.uk/blog/page/10/ there are no links to it and the links just go to blog index page and it ignores the attachment_id value. There is no sitemap.xml file either which I thought might have contained the links. Thanks

Importance of WMT change of address and problem doing it
Hi, How important is it to submit a change of address in WMT? I say that because I am having problems doing it so wondered if it was worth the hassle in trying to fix it. I am getting the error: "We couldn't verify website.co.uk. To submit a change of address, website.co.uk must be verified using the same method as www.website.co.uk. Add website.co.uk to your account and verify ownership, then try again." I have looked on the web to try and find an answer and have come across 2 suggestions: You might have lost the verification with the redirect. If you used a metatag on the home page, the home page is now redirecting. If you had uploaded a verification text file, that file is probably now gone and redirecting as well. You probably need to re-verify the site. Either re-upload the text file and configure it not to redirect (may be difficult) or use the DNS server verification method. You need to verify the non www. version of the website because that's the way Google like it. Not sure why solution 2 would be necessary but it does seem to be what WMT are getting. Because the site already redirects, 1 would then come in to play. Is it worth persevering with because IT will be getting a long list of stuff to do from me as it is.... Thanks all

Would having the same paragraph on every product page be bad?
I am trying to figure out if having the same paragraph on every product would be a bad thing. I know it would be bad to have the same description on every product, but this isn't a description it is a helpful paragraph stating this: Having trouble finding the wheelchair part you need? Please call us at 1-800-328-5343 or fill out the (Link)Wheelchair Parts Request Form(Link). One of our friendly customer service representatives will be happy to help you. Or would it be best to just have the "wheelchair parts request form" Link on every page Or would it be best to have neither and try putting that in a higher category making it on one page instead of every product page?
