Infographic best practices
-
Anyone know of any good sites to post an infographic? These guys want $50.00 to review and MAYBE they will post: infographicsshowcase(dot)com. They have a PR4 , 70k alexa.

No, I don't know any sites you can use to get your infographic 'noticed'.
However, in situations such as this, you shouldn't feel confined to this single tactic. Justin Briggs made it a point to call out at least four other options in his post on How to Build Links with Infographics.
I highly recommend you read the post and pay close attention to the 'Getting Links' section toward the end of the post.
Best of luck!

One of the thoughts in creating the infographic was to get some backlinks, and yes they want $50 bucks to post and review it. (well maybe post it if they like it i guess)

What is the Best Way to Select a Company for Linkbuilding?
We need a few more links, who doesn't, and I've been looking at outsourcing it. Having checked out Moz posts to get an idea of best practice it seems that most link builders that responded to my Elance advert would give me links that would get me penalised either now or in the next update or two by Google. Leaving aside the frequent mentions of link wheels on potential SEOs sites, the main problem seems to be that I cannot believe that any content generated will be of any value to anyone other than as a pseudo contextual basis for the link "Bats are a flying mammal. They use sound waves to navigate. Sound is used in hearing aids. blah blah. blah." So how do you find decent link builders? How do you validate them? What are the key questions to ask? What are the red flags?

Best Way to Market a White Paper
Hello everyone, I had to write a white paper for an entirely different purpose than to drive links, but it did come out very well and I think it would be a fantastic tool in my SEO efforts. What do you guys think is the best way to market a white paper? Obviously I will let our email subscribers know about it and place a link to it in a prominent place on the website, but if anyone has any extra ideas, I would love to hear them. Also, what is the best way to host it? Taking the Moz beginners guide for example, I would love to just put it on my server like http://static.seomoz.org/files/SEOmoz-The-Beginners-Guide-To-SEO-2012.pdf but is it necessary that I make it web-friendly like http://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo? Can the former do anything for SEO? What if there are links to and from the site? Any advice would be great. Thanks

Best Tool For Diagnosing A spammy Back Link Profile
Buongiorno from the river Wharfe 🙂 With Googles crusade to penalise sites with dodgy backlink profiles I'm looking for an automated tool which could flag up any dodgy links. Yes ive used Open Site Explorer but I really am after something that gives me a simple "yes theres a problem and heres where it is" type solution. Any inights welcome 🙂

How Would Google Approach Devaluing Infographic Links?
How do you think Google would go about devaluing infographic links? Suppose the infographic image itself is not hyperlinked to the creator's site but there is a paragraph that mentions the creator and links to their site. How would Google distinguish the infographic creator's link from other external links on the page?

What is the best white hat seo link building strategy?
My goal is to build links that comply with Google's Quality Guidelines. I am wondering what is the best way to approach webmasters or bloggers about submitting guest posts or writing content. I have done a competitive analysis, and have a list of potential link sources, but I am not sure what approach to take next. Any advice or strategy would be appreciated.

Best way to get more keywords to rank
I have a flash site and have been very successful at getting my keywords that are in my site title and also in the text of my page to rank well. What is the best way to get additional keywords to rank without increasing the text on your page. Is it just getting more anchor-text backlinks pointing your site with the new keywords in the text?

Best way to use a cartoon as linkbait
I have an idea for a cartoon that, once created, is likely to be shared a lot in my niche. I'm currently hiring someone to draw the cartoon. My question, though, is the best way to get SEO benefit out of this. If you had a cartoon that was likely to go viral would you publish it as a blog post on your site? People tend to like sharing things that are on imgur or flickr, but these won't help my seo. (Other than perhaps if I end up getting good PR on a flickr image and then link back to my site.) I'm likely going to just publish this as a blog post on my site, but I thought I'd float this out there for other people to give their input. Have you ever used a cartoon or image for linkbait?
