Product Listing Pages

Hi
I had a question regarding product pages and the best way to display the page for SEO.
For example, is it best to have a page for - Blue Euro Containers including a table of the capacity options you can buy..
Or, have each product split out so it has it's own product page - 60L Blue Euro Container, etc etc
I know a lot of the information will be fairly similar, with the capacity being the one major difference - is this a bad thing?
Some of our product tables are too big and the idea was to split them out.

Another question I have is, obviously titles need to be unique, so if the only difference is capacity, & my titles are something like Euro container 50L & Euro container 80L - is this just going to be seen as keyword spamming?
I can't make the titles hugely different if the products are part of the same 'range'
Is there a better way? Or is the alternative not to split the products?

Thanks everyone! I'm still a bit torn on what to do, I understand the implications of both.
I'm working on one page so debating on whether to test this and see how it goes but splitting them out.
The other problem we have is in our pages with multiple products, the tables are not user friendly and need dev time to sort them out which isn't as straight forward as we'd like.

Hi Becky,
I would not create separate product URL if the size/color are the only variations in the product description. If you do this, you're risk creating duplicate content since there's not enough unique content for each page other than the title itself.
Create one page for the product, describe all relevant information for the user, and use filters to display the size and/or color variations.
Here's an example from Amazon and how they handle products with size/color variations:

use filters to display variations and always use the canonical tag to point to the main URL.

I have had good results using individual product pages with the exception that products that only differ by color, size and material type, can be listed on the same page and create new options like color, size and material so you can list the item by its basic name but by users picking the option types they want, they get the blue 3 foot long granite slab, or the green, 2 foot wide concrete slab.
Have had my pages come up rather nicely from this, not to mention customers stay on the page and fiddle with options rather than click back or 10 other buttons on the site.

Kissmetrics and InFlow both have great resources for getting started with eCommerce SEO and how to avoid common issues.
I personally like individual product pages - you are able to add unique product descriptions, individual schema tags, unique images, targeted URL structures, and more, all allowing you to compete better in targeted organic search for that particular product.
So, again, my vote are individual product pages. But beyond SEO, take into consideration your users - what would make them most likely to find the product they are looking for and convert? Remember, you always have the ability to A/B test your designs before committing!

Landing page redirect along with complete content
Hi Moz community, We have a page with "keyword" we are targeting in slug like website.com/keyword/. This page doesn't have much back-links or visits like homepage. So we decided to redirect homepage to /keyword page along with complete content. Will this going to hurt? Only change anybody can notice is URL. Are there any risks involved. I think this is the best way to highlight the page we been thinking about. Thanks

Search Console - Average position vs Page Views
Hello, I would like to find out relation between Average position and Views, one of our sites have strange activity.Average position going up but Views going down in Google Webmaster tools. I mention exactly views to be more specific because clicks could fluctuate due to CTR but views should stay the same. Anyone can describe what could going on ? I notice on other sites that on some days when Average Position drops 50% less than normal views going up on some day, but overall I can not see any relation ship between Average Position and Views.

Translate page?
Hi Guy's I have a question about Google asking me to translate the page when i search on brandname. It's in the Dutch Google and the searchquery is: "rotomshop" I can find why Google wants to translate the page because all our settings are Dutch. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

Bing not indexing pages
We have taken all recommended steps to index our site sitegeek.com pages to Bing Bot but failed to index them. Bing bot crawled more than 5,000 pages every day but strange why pages are not getting index ? if we query site:sitegeek.com in Bing Bing Search Engine shows only 1,200 pages got indexed. but we query site:sitegeek.com in Google Google Search Engine show more 546,000 pages got indexed. For example : https://www.sitegeek.com/000webhost Above page crawled by Google but Bing. Can anyone suggest what we are missing on this page? what need to change to index such pages? Thanks! Rajiv

Have I been Hit by a Penguin? No Warning in Webmaster / Some Pages still Rank
Hi all, I have recently signed up to MOZ as I have seen a large drop in the turnover of a site I work with as well as a slump in visitors. I know part of this slump is the transition from google product search from being free to paid and chewing through our adwords budget quicker. The other part though seems a little more tricky, I have always been under the impression from reading online that an algorithm update would see a site destroyed for most terms and a notification generated in webmaster tools, however the site still seems to still rank for some terms, others however it has fallen off the face of the earth for. As you can see in the attachment webmaster tools is showing much decreased visibility, and MOZ agrees with this. Key terms that have lost rank have done so by around 4-10 positions. The content on the site has all been hand written by myself, however some of the pages are a little "stale" so I am currently running through re-writing every product page on the site (1000 products or so) all my product pages grade a minimum B with 99% A on the Moz page grader. I am keeping my fingers crossed that fresh content should assist in getting google interested again? MOZ.com Page Rank of 2?
I don't recall the page rank of SEOMoz.com prior to the company's change to MOZ.com. But did notice that MOZ.com currently has a Page Rank of 2 (which I find weird since it's such a strong, content rich, highly-regarded site). I'd be interested in hearing about findings from the MOZ.com team on why the low PR and how has it affected your site since the change? (...and perhaps a look at the future through a crystal ball 🙂 I recall reading the MOZ domain changing article titled "Domain Migrations: Surviving the "Perfect Storm" of Site Changes" which had great info and addresses some reasons for PR loss in the 'Traffic and Ranking Loss' section: http://moz.com/blog/domain-migration-lessons

Can a google data refresh knock your pages out of the rankings?
I see that around mid November 2013 a handful of my sites pages dropped off of Google completely. It was around the data refreshes in November, and while everyone says it doesn't effect that much I was wondering if anyone knew if it could knock some of my pages out of the rankings for a specific keyword. Note - we had previously held muliple listings for different pages on our site for this particular keyword. Google kept the highest ranking and knocked the lower ones off. When Google crawls and indexes a new page does it show up immediately in Google search - "site;"?
We made changes to a site, including the addition of a new page and corresponding link/text changes to existing pages. The changes are not yet showing up in the Google index (“site:”/cache), but, approximately 24 hours after making the changes, The SERP's for this site jumped up. We obtained a new back link about a couple of weeks ago, but it is not yet showing up in OSE, Webmaster Tools, or other tools. Just wondering if you think the Google SERP changes run ahead of what they actually show us in site: or cache updates. Has Google made a significant SERP “adjustment” recently? Thanks.
