What to do about one site dominating search results? (multiple pages ranking)?

Anybody have thoughts on dealing with search results where the same site gets listed multiple times? "weebly vs wix" is one example (same site #1-3, repetitive articles, not crazy high authority), but I see this now and then. I know Google likes variety, so it's weird for me to see results like this dominating search results.
Thoughts? What gets these sites to take over the top rankings for a specific term? Any way to rise up in this situation, outside of the usual? Any tips on duplicating this kind of success?

Yes or No.
If Google decides to show all three pages they will all appear on the first page of the search results. However, Google, in my opinion, has a domain diversity goal and does not show all of the pages from a single domain in many situations. Those pages that are not shown go into what many people call the "supplemental results". You can see the supplemental results if you search to the end of Google and find their words....
"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 140 already displayed.If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included. "
So, it is possible for you to earn three positions on the first page of google and only get one or two.
These "double" and "triple" listings can be very valuable because they push your competitor down the page. They are very difficult, almost impossible to get in extremely competitive SERPs. However, they are much easier to get in less competitive niches and can be worth going after. I go after them a lot. If I have a retail page and an article about the products, I often get positions 1 and 2 from that combination. If I have several extremely different articles about a topic, I frequently get 2 or 3, or even 4 pages at the top of Google.
To achieve these you need a site that is one of the strongest in its niche and a site that has a prolific author who can produce more than one page that will rank well for the keywords that you are targeting. I don't think that keyword cannibalization is a bad word because I've made a lot of money from it.

Would this be a reason to go against the common wisdom these days of not creating similar pages around the same keyword searches? Claiming multiple spots at the top of search results looks pretty valuable to me.

These sites have multiple positions because they have multiple pages that are strong enough to earn the first page and one page that is strong enough to earn #1.
To get above them, you will have to displace them from the #1 position or use Adwords.

Is there any update on Google Search Results
I am following some keywords for my website on google. About a month, on the first page of these keywords, there are a lot of changes on ranking. 3-4 website has been falling to 2.3.page and new 3-4 website are shown on 1.page. But these new sites has 0 pagerank and there are no backlinks..These are new websites. What is the reason is there any update on Google search results ?

Comparing 3 sites and their ranks
I am looking at 3 sites and what they have going for them and why they are ranking how they are. I would like to get some of your feedback on why certain sites are above other ones. One of these sites is a client of mine, I will not point out which one. The other 2 are just competitors. http://www.cornhole-game.org/cornhole-bags.html http://www.samscornholebags.com/ http://www.ajjcornhole.com/cornhole-bags.php I have compared them in OSE and they have PA of 39, 29, and 58 respectively. AJJ has a ton of links, many of which are spammy and irrelevant. It looks like a link package was bought at some point. The other two have a similar number of links but www.cornhole-game.org/cornhole-bags.html has more anchor text themed links. None of which seem to be overly optimized. http://www.samscornholebags.com/ seems to have a lot of company branded anchor text links compared to keyword links. http://www.ajjcornhole.com/cornhole-bags.php as I said obviously bought links and has a ton of stuffed keyword links on poor sites http://www.ajjcornhole.com/cornhole-bags.php has minimal social shares http://www.cornhole-game.org/cornhole-bags.html has about 30 shares http://www.samscornholebags.com/ has about 30 shares but a good number of likes and some other social signals. All 3 sites have an A grade using the on page grade tool here on this site. All 3 got dinged for keyword stuffing. http://www.samscornholebags.com/ ranks the highest with the least amount of links and PA http://www.ajjcornhole.com/cornhole-bags.php ranks next with a really poor link profile and the least amount of social activity http://www.cornhole-game.org/cornhole-bags.html ranks the lowest with anchor text links that are not spammed and some social activity So with all of this in mind, would anybody care to weigh in on why they think any of these sites are ranking where they are in comparison to one another.

Google serps for split keyword searches
A client has come to me with an issue with the marketing of their website. it is mainly focused around the search of their name. the site is an Magento GO hosted e-commerce based site through Magento. it requires a good amount of optimisation and its in a very competitive market - which has high volume of searches. When entering the name of the business it doesn't show on the first page of Google but it does on Bing or Yahoo. The site name is lovehugz and is UK based The issue is when searched for by name lovehugz it appears on the second page, however if the search term is separated love hugz it appears first on the first page. The site is poorly optmised at present with the page title limited to the name lovehugz. Does anybody know of reasons why Google might be behaving in this manner and what steps should be taken to overcome. Optimising for the name is not the only aim here, however it something that should be in place for people searching by name, There is a lot of work to be done to optimise the site for its essential relevant keywords to stand a chance in its market. Any ideas of help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Open Site Explorer Twitter and Facebook Links
I was using Open Site Explorer to compare some of my site's links to a competitor and I noticed that my Twitter page is not counting as an incoming link, whereas theirs are. From what I can tell, we have the same kind of setup on my twitter page, listing the domain in the company information... but no luck. Any suggestions on what I may be able to change? How a site only with Frame can be at #1 google in a competitive keyword?

Creating Sub Pages To Target Specific Keywords
Hi Guys, Hope you can answer this question. Our website is currently on the first page in position 6 for a competitive keyword, domain is 11years old and currently has a PR of 4. At the moment there are 4 competitors above us one of which as two listings, they have managed to do this by creating a page dedicated to the keyword. E.g www.ourdomain.co.uk/key-word.html. Do you think we would achieve a good ranking if we built the same page but with fresh content and links pointing to that page? Cheers.
